Q: 1. can you split the screen between input sources?

A: The LG UltraWide 25.7" HDR Monitor (BH #LG26BQ500B), does not support PBP or PIP.

Q: 2. Two questions: 1) can this be rotated and used as a horizontal monitor? 2) does it have auto input switching? meaning when one device is disconnected, will it switch to the other connected device automatically?

A: BH #LG28BQ780B is the new version of the monitor.

Q: 5. Does this monitor contain its own aspect-ratio-preserving scaler? For example, if I feed it a 4:3 mode (such as 1600 x 1200), will it scale that up to fill the screen width and leave black horizontal bars along the top and bottom to preserve the 4:3 aspect ratio of the content? Asking because I'm seriously considering using this monitor for a video arcade machine, as it's the only semi-suitable high-enough-resolution (for simulating CRT subpixel details such as shadow mask patterns) LCD panel (so lighter weight and less cumbersome than a CRT) in a squarish aspect ratio (needed for retro/vintage video games to avoid massive amounts of wasted screen real estate) and large enough size (24" diagonal needed for an arcade cabinet).

A: The LG DualUp 27.6" HDR Special Monitor has 3 aspect ratio settings. [Full Wide]: Displays the video in widescreen, regardless of the video signal input. [Original]: Displays video according to the aspect ratio of the video signal input. [Just scan]: The aspect ratio is not adjusted from the original.

Q: 9. Can you mount this monitor to a third party stand with standard VESA mount?

A: Yes, this monitor can be used with any stand or mount with a 100 x 100 mm VESA mounting hole pattern.

Q: 10. Does the KVM work on Chromebooks? I'd like to run a PC and Chromebook in PBP and wonder if the KVM feature is compatible.

A: Yes, the KVM function will work with a Chromebook as long as it is able to connect to the monitor with a USB Type C connection.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This monitor is great for productivity. My husband uses this to expand his screen real estate while using blender and other apps.

I set up the monitor from the box. It is a clean process and completely doable by one person (assuming your desk is not too deep and your arms can reach). It is really nice that the cable management is integrated completely with the stand and really cleans up the look of the desk over all.

It is a very strange size when you first see it but it really works well for creative applications like Blender.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this monitor! Portrait mode is ideal for writing and programming. So much more useful screen real estate, even compared to my large wide-format monitor. Already considering getting a second one.

Dearly hope LG continues to pursue this format. The 28" DualUp is already a great monitor, but if there were an even larger (wider) version, I'd crawl through an obstacle course to get it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This monitor has the perfect resolution for me, especially as a software developer. I have mine rotated so it's slightly taller than it is wide, but the almost-square shape is unique and perfectly suited to my kind of work. It also has a number of kick-butt features, like a built-in KVM switch (I frequently switch between computers while working), PBP mode, etc. The mount stand is also of high quality and has a professional, sleek finish. Love this product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This monitor is a product I never knew I needed. At first, I was turned off by its unconventional 16:18 aspect ratio but decided to give it a try. I quickly found myself using this monitor more and more when it came to getting work tasks done. With a conventional monitor, I tend to run out space for all of my applications and find myself constantly resizing windows or minimizing things just to bring up the same window only seconds later but with the LG DualUp everything I need fits perfectly on the screen.

The setup with the included mount was quick and easy and navigating through the settings menu felt intuitive and simple to adjust the monitor to my preferences.

Would highly recommend this monitor to any of my friends and family who spend a large portion of their time working on a computer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using DualUp for the past two weeks and have been thoroughly enjoying it. Prior to receiving this product, my secondary screen was 16: 9 ratio, which worked well for viewing the final rendered video. However, during the editing/color grading period, most of the time I was dissatisfied with the working real-estate and felt that choice had to be made between view and editing panels. With DualUp, I was able to get enough viewing area for both and noticed much less zooming in and out, which significantly speed up my work flow. When working with 3D rendering software such as Blender, the benefit is even more obvious as I can open up 3d viewport, shader editor, and geometry node editor all open at the same time without needing to switch between different edit windows. Another benefit that I noticed was working with multichannels audio (in my case with higher order ambisonics) in DAW or other audio editors - again I didn’t have to zoom in as much as I used to in order to get more information. In conclusion, I would recommend this for anyone who works in the creative field - whether video, audio, programming, or any other discipline that can benefit from unusual screen ratio.

Pros:
excellent manufacture quality
unique screen ratio that can benefit content creating workflow
that it can work as hub and charge your computer
excellent display

Cons:
can use more brightness/nits especially in some situations
the Ergo stand lacks the mechanism for height adjustment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This monitor has a very unique aspect ratio that makes it feel almost like a square, as it's essentially two monitors stacked on top of each other! As someone who's always been switching back and forth from a single monitor to dual monitor setup, this is a nice compromise in the middle. I love that it has speakers built in since I like to use my laptop closed with external keyboard and mouse. It also has an ambient light sensor for automatically adjusting according to the room's brightness, super neat! The bezels around the screen are slim and while I wish the chin was slimmer, the overall profile of this monitor is quite nice! Lastly, I love being able to use a single USB-C cable to get all the peripherals attached on the monitor working.
