Get all the clean gain you could ever need for the quietest mic sources with the AEA Ribbon Mics TRP3, a two-channel microphone preamp made in the USA by the same company known for its premium ribbon mics. This compact half-rack unit offers balanced XLR mic inputs and high-impedance, and low-noise circuitry, so it can yield optimal results with ribbon, condenser, or dynamic microphones.
Between the 12-position mic-pre gain and the continuously variable output level, up to 85 dB of JFET gain is available for each channel. Three LEDs are provided per channel for a clear indication of levels at -20, 0, and +24 dBu. Tame bass buildup and proximity effect at the push of a button with the low-cut filter, which cuts 3 dB at either 115 or 230 Hz, depending on your setting. The TRP3 includes an external universal switching power supply to allow operation in any country.

- LED Indicators: Green, yellow, and red LEDs indicate levels at -20, 0, and +24 dBu
- LF Switch: This inserts the 12 dB/octave low-cut filter at 100 Hz
- P48 Switch: Out is off; In applies full-spec P48 phantom power to the input (indicated by the red LED near the switch)
- Polarity Switch: Out is normal; In is inverted

A: Haven't used it like that, but I've had it setup with 2 inputs for the about year and a half, plugged in and powered on 24-7

A: It depends on the mic you are using. if your mic needs phantom power (condenser) then get the fethead phantom. If the mic does not need phantom power (dynamic) get the regular.
Q: 8. Is this adapter compatible with the Sony HXR-MC2500 camcorder?
A: Yes, the Saramonic SR-PAX1 can be used with any camera that has a 3.5mm mic input.
Q: 9. Is this the correct Fethead for the Deity S-Mic 2S? Or should I be getting the regular Fethead? (The S-Mic 2S is a phantom powered mic, but even still this isn't clear).

A: The FetHead Phantom is only designed for condenser mics. The standard FetHead is designed specifically for dynamics such as the SM7B and ribbon mics as well.
