Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I would like to use the AC / Adapter for the hub. What kind of the Volt output? 5V or 12V?

A: The voltage output of the ac adapter to the Hub mini is 5v, 1 amp.

Q: 2. Can you link a master headset to the hub? I purchased a UL3S kit and want to expand my kit to six wireless headsets. Do I need to purchase three remote headsets or four to accomplish this?

A: No only one. You can run 7 headsets off the single Hub.

Q: 3. I have a Mieke MK580 Speedlite , are these compatible ?

A: My understanding is that they work with everything :)

Q: 4. Do I need a wired headset for the hub to work?

A: The Eartec HUB Mini Duplex Transceiver Base can be used with 1 wired headset and up to 8 wireless remote headsets. For a wired headset. you can use the Eartec Max 4G Single Headset with Dual 3.5-2.5mm Connectors (B&H # EAHUBMX) or the Eartec Max 4G Double Headset with Dual 3.5-2.5mm Connectors (B&H # EAHUBMXD). For the wireless headsets, you can use the Eartec UltraLITE Single-Ear Remote Headset with Rechargeable Lithium Battery - USA Version (B&H # EAULSR) or the Eartec UltraLITE Dual-Ear Remote Headset with Rechargeable Lithium Battery - USA Version (B&H # EAULDR).

Q: 5. I want to trigger 3 (or maybe 4) speed lights (combination of Norman and Elinchrom) with my Hasselblad 500. Would two of these sets work (4 total)? Thanks very much!

A: You would need 4 Plus X units if shooting with a Hasselblad 500 series camera and 3 strobes. One would be the transmitter while the other 3 would be receivers.

Q: 6. will this device work with speedotron light kits (brown)?

A: No tried yet.

Q: 7. I have 3 Mettle 600AD Monolights, they have slave units built in, How many Pocket Wizards Xs do I need? I have Nikon D5300 and. Sekonic L-478DR flash meter

A: If you have three monolights and one camera, you will need a total of 4 units. One unit would be a transmitter on your D5300 while each monolight would connect to Plus X unit to receiver the signal. Your Sekonic L-478DR would be able to trigger the flashes with the Plus X units attached to take your flash reading.

Q: 8. Hi I have a canon R5 and siros broncolor which pack I have to buy to trigger from the can to my 2 broncolor siros ?

A: Instead of purchasing the PocketWizard PlusX 2 Pack listed above, it would be better to purchase the Broncolor RFS 2.2 C Transceiver for Canon, B&H # BRRFS2.2CT • MFR # B-36.160.00, for use with the integrated Broncolor RFS 2.1 Receiver inside the Broncolor Siros WiFi/RFS 2.1 Monolights. This would allow you to purchase a single (more economically-priced) on-camera transmitter to wirelessly trigger your monolights. If you choose to purchase the PocketWizard PlusX 2 Pack, you would need a total of three (3) remotes: one on the camera's hot shoe as a wireless radio transmitter, and one on each of the monolight strobes as a wireless radio receiver. If you use the Broncolor RFS 2.2 C Transceiver for Canon, you may also wirelessly control the monolights' output power wirelessly from the on-camera Broncolor transmitter. If you use the PocketWizard PlusX remotes, you will give up the power control features of the RFS transmitter.

Q: 9. Does this work with The Flex TT6 transceiver?

A: No the following unit will not communicate nor provide TTL information.

Q: 10. Will this work for continuous shooting? If so, up to how many shots?

A: I assume so, but it would be more important for the speed of your strobes to keep up . I've never used them to fire cameras only . They are great and reliable .
