A: The connections are miniature BNC's called 1.0/2.3 DIN. It allows more connections per card. Clever actually. You do need adapters if going to a conventional size cable. Please see below.

A: It will not properly work in anything less than an 8 lane generation 2 slot.

A: Its called a DIN 1.0/2.3 Male connector. Also known as Micro SDI connector. They make pigtails that go from DIN 1.0/2.3 Male to regular BNC connector.

Q: 8. Well this card seems more usable to me because of its 8 input, and If I have to use it with EGPU(External Graphic processing unit) with thunderbolt, will it work? Like in other question I don't like to travel with PC but will always travel with Laptop to use with ATEM. In this case I can use a gaming laptop and a EGPU with this card in it.

A: As long as the bus the card is connected to is capable of the bandwidth, then it should work.

Q: 9. Does anyone know if this device will de-embed audio when using this as a SDI to HDMI converter? I know there are smaller/cheaper products that do this but I like the versatility of having a multiviewer as well.

A: Hi Andrew, This is Jules from product support at Symbiosis, Decimator's master distributor for your region. The DMON-Quad will pass embedded audio from any of the four inputs to both SDI and HDMI outputs. When in multi-viewer mode, you can select which input's audio is passed to the outputs. When viewing an input as full-screen the audio from that input is passed. It does not have a separate audio only output.
