A: Yes, it does work with Photoshop. A graphic tablet is a MUST if you plan to work with Photoshop often. Wacom is the most popular graphic tablet manufacturer, and they make a great product. I have had both the large and medium sized tablets. The medium size is plenty big for 90% of people. The large was too big - it takes large arm movements unless you limit the drawing area in the software. And if you do that, why get a big one?

A: it's really straight forward to set it up. I have been using Wacom for a long time now and the Large version of it is great. You might be careful with the touch option of the tablet if you drag your hand on top of it, it can be difficult to get used to it. I have heard that the Bluetooth is a little laggy (haven't tried it myself, since I don't need it) But with cable is really precise. I hope this helps you. This is actually a great product

A: To my knowledge the tablet is powered via the USB port and the pen has no batteries. So no batteries to worry about.

A: Wireless or wired keyboard would be all up to your own preferences.It's not replacing my mouse/trackpad 100%, because normal computer UI is a lot easier with a normal mouse or trackpad. The Intuos is very sensitive, which is what makes it so awesome in Photoshop, but operating OSX (Safari, Mail, file operations etc. ) is more difficult with the pen - IMHO).
