The M-5G Tabletop Tripod with G-28 Ball Head from Xiletu is a compact yet versatile tabletop tripod with a load capacity of 26.5 lb and a maximum height of 20.1 inches. It has a very compact design due to the 5-section legs which simply twist to unlock and lock, without external locking joints. Each leg has independent leg spread and three locking angles, plus rubber feet for traction. Each leg also features two 1/4"-20 threaded accessory mounts for adding extension arms, compact LED lights, microphones, and more. The head mount platform at the top of the center column also features three more 1/4"-20 accessory sockets, for a total of 9 accessory mounting points for creating a customized rig.

The included G-28 ball head is a feature-rich yet compact head with a 1.1" ball that can be quickly and easily adjusted using the main control knob. The panoramic base has an independent locking knob and a numbered scale for precise movement. It also features a cold shoe mount for adding compatible accessories like a microphone or other devices. The cold shoe can be screwed off, revealing a 1/4"-20 accessory socket. The head's integrated quick release clamp allows the QR plate to slide in and lock in place, then quickly released and slid through the clamp using the release lever.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there a notch in the ball head of the Feisol TT-15B that would allow to quickly change between portrait and landscape orienration? Also is the ball head compatible with the Peak Design plate?

A: Sorry, the TT-15B does not have a notch. If this is an important feature for you, I recommend that you use the TT-15 with the CB-30D ball head which does have a notch and which the ball head of the TT-15B is based on.We do not have any personal experience with the Peak Design plate and have not received any customer feedback about it - generally speaking, most Arca-Swiss type plates are compatible.

Q: 2. What is difference between TT-15B vs. TT-15 Mark II with CB-30D ball head. They look similar to me in terms of load capacity, but TT-15B seems quite cheaper?

A: The TT-15B has an integrated, non-removable ball head which is a simplified version of the CB-30D - it has no Panning Base or Friction Adjustment. The TT-15 M2 comes without a ball head - the CB-30D is an excellent companion ball head for it, but the TT-15 M2 can also be used without a ball head altogether.

Q: 3. This set comes in a little bag? or not? I did not see any picture of a bag..

A: Yes, it comes with a case.

Q: 4. Pan and Tilt arms run on ball bearings or bushing?

A: The manufacture does not list if the XILETU Professional Heavy-Duty Gimbal Head with Arca-Type Quick Release has bushings or ball bearings. Chances are it is bushings.

Q: 5. How low to the ground does it get?

A: It goes as low as 12 inches.

Q: 6. Does this come with a quick release plate? If not what can you recommend?

A: The QP-144750 Quick Release Plate is well designed and has bidirectional slots and a lock button that make the mounting/unmounting more secure. The description is misleading where it says "Quick Release Systems not included," so I thought that I needed to add the QP-40 Quick Release Plate at $19.95 which is not as well designed as the included plate. You can compare the two plates if you search the Quick Release Systems accessories for this tripod and order extra QP-144750 plate(s) if you want.

Q: 7. If i have an L Plate that is Arca Compatible do i still need to buy a quick release plate?

A: The L-Plate works like an Arca-Swiss style Quick Release Plate, so you will not need an additional plate.

Q: 8. Can you tell me the dimensions of the unit: height and the footprint? I'm trying to figure if it will fit on my shelf.

A: Unfortunately, the manufacturer was unable to provide the dimensions of this unit.

Q: 9. Is this tripod practical for someone over six feet tall?

A: The K&F Concept SA234 DSLR Camera Tripod with KF-28 Ball Head has a maximum height of 61.6". A person that is 6' tall would be more comfortable with a tripod with a maximum height of at least 68".

Q: 10. Will it work with my D850

A: Hi there! The Manfrotto 492 ballhead and tripod supports a total of 4.4lbs, so as long as your D850 and lens combination does not exceed that amount, it should work beautifully. However, when in use with the 259B extension column, it will reduce the overall stability slightly with such a large camera, so exercise a bit of caution.
