The 750 watts per channel at 4Ω QSC RMX2450a Low-Z Power Amplifier is a 2RU rack mountable amplifier designed for live sound reinforcement applications. The amplifier features two 2-tier Class H output channels that can operate in either stereo or mono bridge mode. The unit operates on a standard 15 amp plug and utilizes high-current toroidal transformers for less noise and better performance when pushing a 2 ohm load. To reduce distortion, the amplifier utilizes independent user-defeatable clip limiters and includes LED indicator lights to show the presence of the signal and when the signal is clipping.

The chassis of the amplifier is designed with front to rear cooling vents and includes selectable low-frequency filters at 30 Hz and 50 Hz to protect speakers from bottoming out and improve headroom when driving mid and high frequencies. The front panel of the unit features two gain control knobs for easy access and each channel is protected by a dedicated DC and thermal overload protection circuit. For inputs, the back of the unit accepts both balanced 1/4" and XLR inputs. For outputs, the unit features both Neutrik Speakon and touch-proof binding post connections.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is it better to used for lows bass or mids and highs?

A: Frequency Response 20Hz - 20kHz, +0, -1 dB

Q: 2. how many speakers can I connect per channel?

A: The QSC GX3 features 2 physical speaker outputs designed for optimal operation at 8 ohms. The unit is able to operate safely with a 4 ohm load as well which will give you a higher wattage output per channel. You are able to connect multiple speakers to each channel in parallel, but should be careful not to exceed the wattage and impedance ratings listed by the manufacturer.

Q: 3. hello it can be connected to a voltage 220?

A: The QSC GX3 operates at 120V AC. You will need to use a step-down transformer to use it with 220V AC such as the Sevenstar ST-500 Step Up/Step Down Transformer - 500W (B&H # SEST500UD) or Watson Voltage Converter - 500 Watt Max (B&H # WAVCGSD500).

Q: 4. Does this amp has rca input?

A: Yes it does

Q: 5. CAN i connect 4 speakers 8Ohm 150w rms to each channel in parallel mode ?if not which is the best way to connect 4 speakers/channel, not to overload the machine or burn the speakers?

A: Connecting four 8 ohm speakers to a channel will present a 2 ohm load which the GXD 8 is not designed to handle. A minimum of 4 ohms per channel for proper operation is recommended by the manufacturer.

Q: 6. Im frm Philippines.. What is the right wattage/amperes of transformer be use to power this Gx3

A: You would need a step down transformer such as this BH #SEST1500UD.

Q: 7. I wish to use this amp with (4) speakers inside a small (1,500 sqft) fun center lobby with 10ft. ceilings. Would someone be able to suggest a good speaker match? Thanx.

A: Thank you for your question. Please give us a call at 800.606.6969 so that we can better assist you in getting the right speakers for your needs.

Q: 8. Can I stack one on top of the other without heating problems?

A: It is recommended to leave at least 1u of space between amps to reduce potential overheating issues

Q: 9. How can I connect 6 speakers to a 2 channel amp?

A: Depending on the specifications of your speakers it may not be possible to connect 6 speakers to a 2 channel amplifier. This particular amp is not designed to accept less than a 4 ohm load per channel. For information or suggestions on connecting speakers to this amplifier, please contact a Pro Audio Representative here by phone at 800-606-6969 or email audio@a href= http://bandh.com target= _blank bandh.com/a

Q: 10. Can this amp be used in a home theater setup?

A: It can, if your home is sufficiently large. The amp is designed for speakers up to 300W (most home theater speakers don't go above 100W, which would fill a decent sized living room with sound.) So the GX3 would work, but you also may find it overkill (and if your speakers are too small or rated at 16 Ohm, you may blow your speakers if you turn the amp volume up too high.)
