A: There is no easy way to send the video signal from the smartphone to the Yolobox Pro. It can be done using an HDMI dongle from Apple or a similar adapter for Android phones. There are also wireless setups that require an RTMP to HDMI converter and a strong WiFi connection.

A: Streaming and recording at the same time would be capped and 30p with the Yolobox Pro.

A: I am not seeing an option to make audio from an HDMI source mono on the YoloLiv YoloBox Pro. However, most cameras that output audio will allow you to set the output to mono or stereo. You may need to check your camera's manual to see how to set the audio to mono.

A: The device streams via RTMP; a VPN would not alter the flow of that stream.

I did a lot of research when replacing my existing non-HomeKit friendly security system with a HomeKit friendly one. It does require an existing ecobee thermostat as a hub, but since I've been using one in my house for years, it was a no-brainer for me. All the sensors only take minutes to install and configure, and they immediately show up as first-order members of your HomeKit environment, ready to take part in automations. ecobee's Smart Security add-on is a worthwhile upgrade, even if you don't go with a fully monitored solution. All-in-all an excellent product, easy to install, easy to use, just what you'd expect ecobee to be like! 5

We fitted two smart door sensors which are useful to switch off AC when left open, so saving energy. Also, we have the security feature activated, this is useful to know when people are moving about when we’re not home. The Ecobee system we’ve installed integrates well with the smart home infrastructure, at night if a bedroom door is opened the hallway light comes on low so it’s possible to see where you’re going without compromising night vision. 5

This is my third set of these sensors. They are super simple to setup and their battery life is very good. The sensors connect to your Ecobee thermostat so you must have one of those for these to function. I subscribe to Ecobee's basic security plan and with that you get the added feature of these sensors telling the thermostat that a window/door has been left open and the thermostat will not run the HVAC to save energy until the window/door is closed. Don't worry, this is all configurable with which SmartSensor(s) will trigger the HVAC shutdown. I would like to add one more small remark. There are many options when shopping for smart home products like the Ecobee smart thermostat and these sensors. The one thing that sets Ecobee apart is the fact that they just work. I've never had to tend to them after we've lost power or the internet goes down. When our service is back online, so is Ecobee. It's refreshing when a company puts as much quality and attention to detail into their software as they do their hardware. I have nothing but good things to say about Ecobee and their smart devices. It's refreshing when smart devices just work. 5
