I use it for my Backyard where WiFi wasn't the greatest before. Now it is like being indoors, great Wifi even across the yard. About 120Ft. Not sure about further but much better then before. 5

Been extremely satisfied with Ubiquiti's products and some years ago upgraded whole network over to Unifi line. Living in a townhome complex there are ton of neighboring access points and every now and then had a nest outdoor camera go down due to interference. Purchased the AP-AC-MESH which gave me the option to install wherever I needed, in/outdoor. Ended up installing it indoors and currently have it setup with uplink to an AP-AC-Lite and working flawlessly. One piece of advice if installing outdoors is to purchase one or two surge protectors (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1408366-REG/ubiquiti_networks_eth_sp_g2_surge_suppressor_protector.html) to protect your equipment as noted in manual. 5

After much research, we went with the Ubiquiti mesh wifi tech instead of the duo/trio of other household off the shelf brands. This was more work but if you have a few extra minutes (and dollars) you can build a killer Ubiquiti setup at home and then roam around and seamlessly hop between access points without noticing the difference. It's enterprise tech for households or small business. Amazing really. I put this one upstairs in the small loft space. If I am planning to spend a lot of time outside I'll actually unplug it replug it right outside the door and really get great range upstairs where there was previously ZERO bars/access. It's very useful for our family to have internet where we previously were not able to. WONDERFUL! Other great things are the entire Ubiquiti solution we bought is working flawlessly when put all together. We have it all connected: the gateway router + 8 port managed switch + ACPRO + ACMESH + cloud key. It's just amazing really with the seamless hop / hop-back between the access points, and the reporting features and iPhone app are also very cool! 5

We're using this product for a WAP to connect our mobile picking tablets to our network. The plan was to start with one WAP and add another WAP if it was required. The coverage is great, and we won't need extra WAP's at this point. 5

I added one of these to our band's intranet to see if I could extend the range that I could mix from on a tablet for outdoor shows. The result was better than I expected and I would recommend one of these to anyone looking for an easy to deploy WAP. Note, make sure to connect it up to a network with internet access for the initial configuration. 5

Bought this to help Ring RSI. I have 3 Spotlight Cams that needed just a little more signal. All 3 now have great signal. I live off the road 100 yards and can see all kinds of neighboring AP’s as cars pass by. I love to see their nicknames, such as “Momma’s Toy!” 5

Another Great Ubiquiti product. I am using this access point outside 25 foot up on a tower and I get good reception anywhere on my yard. Farthest distance from the AP on my property is 200 ft and I get about half reception, sometimes more sometimes less depending on the weather, but always usable. 5
