The matte black Nikon G Lens to Micro Four Thirds Lens Mount Adapter from Metabones allows you to attach a Nikon F-mount G lens to a Micro Four Thirds format camera. Metabones' adapters are precision-machined with brass and plated with chromium on both sides of the adapter. It is also designed to allow lenses to reach infinity focus while maintaining the correct registration distance required to support CRC lenses or lenses with floating elements.
This adapter features a clickless 7-stop aperture ring with half-stop markings and a detachable tripod foot compatible with Arca Swiss, Markins, and Photo cam ball head tripods. Additionally, its matte black finish minimizes internal reflections so as to maintain image quality.
To note, automatic lens functions, like autofocus, will not be retained when using this adapter.

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Do the numbers on the adapter correspond to the lens accurate f stops?
A: No they don't. When the Metabones adapter is installed, it overrides whatever f-stop you might set on the lens. In other words the Metabones adapter takes complete control of aperture. The numbers on the adapter range from F (for full wide open, I guess) through 1-6 to 7 which is fully stopped down. One can guess that halfway through the range from F to 7 might correspond with a mid-range lens aperture of about f8 or so, depending on the aperture range of the lens one is working with.
Q: 2. a c mount 25mm lens will it be still a 25mm on 4/3? thank yoz for your help
A: The C cine mount is commonly used on 16mm movie cameras, closed-circuit television cameras and microscope phototubes. C-mount says very little about the lens and its intended usage, so for a MFT camera, you will want to make sure the lens was designed for 16mm or better Super 16mm film. The MFT sensor is slightly larger than a Super 16mm film frame (17.30x13 vs 12.52x7.41) so you will see some to significant image fall off in the frame corners. Because a C-mount lens is made for smaller formats than MFT, there is no crop factor. A 25mm C-mount lens will remain a 25mm lens on a Micro 4/3 camera.
Q: 3. can bmpcc lens be used on gh5using this adapter
A: yes
Q: 4. Can this adaptor be used on a BlackMagic Pocket cinema camera?
A: Yes. The Metabones C-Mount Lens to Micro Four Thirds Mount Adapter can be attached to the Black Magic Pocket Camera, since it uses a micro 4/3 connection.
Q: 5. Hi! I pretend to use this adapter on a g7 Panasonic with the lenses: 10-24 DX, 70-300VR, 50mm 1.8D and 24mm 2.8. Will focus and maximum aperture work perfectly with all those lenses? Is there some restrictions? Will the minimum focus work, as well to infinite? Thanks!
A: Hi, i use the adapter in 2 versions for BMCC and BMPCC with sigma zoom. It works perfectly
Q: 6. Will this adapter work with the BMPCC?
A: Yes
Q: 7. Will this adapter work with the Blackmagic Cinema Camera MFT mount?
A: Worked perfectly. Easily the most finely manufactured adapter I've encountered. Highly recommended.
Q: 8. so basically the lens turns into a manual apperture, that is cool but:Does the metering in the camera still working ok when adapting a lense?does it has any quality lose while using the adapter?what about when taking still pictures? Does the shutter speed still working properly?
A: The metabones prevents the camera from communicating with the lens.So no, the camera doesn't tell you the aperture reading and will always read as 0. Therefore, you always have to use other means (zebras) to not over expose. You also can't achieve a desired aperture to control DOF (such as 2.8) because, again, the camera can't report the aperture.I haven't taken still pictures so I'm not sure how this affects that mode.
Q: 9. Is this compatible with the Leica MP 0.72 Rangefinder 35mm Film Camera?
A: No, it is not for use on a Leica camera. It is for using lenses from your Leica MP on a Micro4/3 camera such as an Olympus or Panasonic mirrorless camera.
Q: 10. How this adapter work with GH4 Lumix?
A: yes. magnificent workmanship compared to cheaper brands plus infinity focus on switar 10f16.
