The black, redesigned MT190XPRO4 Aluminum Tripod from Manfrotto builds on the success and popularity of the previous 190 series with professional hardware and convenience features that make it even easier to use than its predecessor.

Set up is faster than ever with Manfrotto's Quick Power Lock System that allows you to completely extend the tripod legs with just one hand. Once set up you can use the MT190XPRO4's rapid center column in standard vertical mode or swing it into horizontal position like a boom with Manfrotto's 90° Column feature. Enlarged tabs on the individual leg angle selectors allow you to get down to only 3.2" for macro work with the column in horizontal mode. And once you're down there you can attach any of Manfrotto's flexible or articulated arms to hold lights or reflectors via the Easy Link plug built into the tripod's spider.

Convenience features include grippy, rubber leg warmers on two legs for cold or inclement weather and a bubble level that rotates so that you can see it easily regardless of the tripod's position. Finally, Manfrotto's insistence on form following function has yielded a tripod that you'll not only be happy to use but you'll be happy to be seen with, too.

The Quick Power Lock (QPL) system is one of the most eye-catching and unique features of the redesigned 190. It is a strong, ultra fast, ergonomic locking system that allows for complete extension of the legs with one hand.

One of the most innovative aspects of the 190 series is its compactness, which allows for easier portability. The redesigned patented 90° Column is accessible whenever you need it with simple one finger operation.

The plug allows instant connection between tripod and accessories, such as LED lights for macro photography and DSLR video applications using Manfrotto articulated arms and brackets.

The bubble is easy to read, whatever the shape of the head or however the tripod is positioned. Just rotate it towards you for easy viewing.

Each leg has user selection of four angles to accommodate uneven ground or rough terrain. The selectors are manufactured according to most innovative ergonomic standards to prevent fingers and nails being trapped in the upper casting.

The entire shape of the tripod has been modified and made more manageable and stylish. The complete redesign of its functional elements shows a particular attention to aesthetics and details: the brand name, for example, appears in many sections of the new 190, including the two legwarmers made of comfortable rubber to provide a secure grip and prevent the conduction of heat and cold in extreme weather conditions.

Great tripod. It is a little heavy but you gain stability on the pod. I am quite comfortable with having my D810 with grip, 70-200 lens and Manfrotto junior hear head on these legs without it feeling unstable. The locking mechanisms on the legs have a firm clip action which tells you they are fully locked. Great purchase, well made and happy to have made this choice.

I have a light weight carbon fiber tripod used for travel, but was looking a larger, more stable tripod for landscapes, etc.  The Manfrotto 190 really works well.  The versatility of the 90 degree arm is a plus.

This set of legs was to replace the legs on a Manfrotto tripod that was over 15 years old. While I have replaced parts on the old legs, more broken aluminum clamps meant they had to be replaced and because the head was still good I upgraded to the PRO4 for its compact folded size. I read some complaints about the plastic clamps on these, but I don't see that they will be a long-term problem. I'm guessing that they are nylon based and probably won't break the way the cast aluminum one on the old set did. Just be carefully locking the legs into place, you can pinch your fingers!

Versatile, lightweight extremely well engineered tripod worth every cent. Being able to shoot eye level across a pond with a 80-400 to shooting landscapes after a good hike this tripod has always been dependable. I put a ball head on it and the combination preforms brilliantly. Sold my behemoth Bogen and appreciate the durability and precision in a much lighter tripod.

Love my new MT190XPRO4. Well built & very sturdy. I do real estate photography & needed a tripod that would hold my A7II & flash in place without camera movement when I make camera adjustments for multiple exposures. This tripod works great, it's not to light or to heavy, just right. Yes I would recommend this product.

I was replacing a light weight tripod that was too flimsy for a Nikon D750 and the big Nikkor 200-500mm zoom. The Manfrotto handles this combination solidly in the wind.

The leg quick-release locks are beefy, giving you good leverage to flip open. While their tension comes adjusted, there is a tension adjustment for later if needed. The leg angle has three angles of adjustment.

The legs slide quicky into position. I took a shot with the Manfrotto mid-stream, resting on some rocks, and it held solidly.

Strength is weight, so this Manfrotto is a little beefier than a light-weight tripod. But I easily carry it on my Lowepro pack. There is a little weight addition, but it actually attaches better than the old lightweight tripod.

The extention easily flips horizontally for ground shots. The tension adjustments are beefy and easy to operate. The head mounting plate is bigger than other tripods and is a finely machined surface. The weight hook is on the center body and not on the extension. This is very good.

This Manfrotto is *the* tripod to get for fine photography. Even with a light camera and lens, this tripod gives you extra assurance against unwanted motion and is well worth getting.

Besides using the tripod in my daily work, I'll be taking it along on my trips--it folds up compactly and fits easily into my luggage. And because it is light enough I don't have to leave half my clothes behind on the closet floor. I love its simplicity and sturdiness despite the seemingly frail figure it cuts. The power locks stay closed (unlike my former tripod) until I snap them open. It took some getting used to what side I should try to open without ruining my manicure, but I will admit that was completely operator error. I received the Manifrotto XPRO Geared 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head as a gift to compliment this purchase (after much heavy hinting it materialized), and together they have made shooting on a tripod the adventure it should be instead of the cussing and aggravation I experienced in the past with inferior products.

i just received my Manfrotto190X Pro tripod with joystick head and have been very pleased with the stability of the tripod. the 190 is not a weak feeling tripod like a lot of others I tried. The joystick is very precise and the tension is very adjustable. Looking forward to the next trip to the 1000 yd range, Now I feel outfitted with the proper equipment for long range viewing of targets.
