The PSP eFeMerizer Frequency Modulation Engine is an outstanding frequency modulator consisting of four operators. Each operator is independently configurable, resulting in unprecedented sound design flexibility.
PSP nitroFormant is a flexible dual formant filter offering two separate filters with independent pitch control for each filter and the ability to morph between them. The module also features master input and output gain, frequency and resonance controls, and PSP's renowned softSAT saturation algorithm. The PSP nitroFormant also takes full advantage of the module format. It not only offers master stereo control voltage-style inputs and outputs, but independent CV inputs for Pitch A and B, Resonance, Frequency, and Morph controls.
Taking the super envelope follower from PSP stomps and display functionality from PSP N2O, this flexible module can be fed from two sources, Feed A and Feed B, with separate control-voltage-style inputs for each. In addition to adjusting the threshold, you can set whether the filter operates when the signal is above, below, or around the threshold. You can adjust the envelope's attack, and also turn the attack hold on, off, or set it to boost the attack. You can choose between three filter slopes: sharp, soft, and smooth. You can set the amount of link between the two feeds, as well as the output polarity. PSP nitroEnveloper also features master input and output level controls and independent CV outputs for each feed. Finally, the large LCD-style display can be set to show peak or RMS metering.
Featuring the ultraflexible LFO from the super LFO from PSP stomps and display functionality from PSP N2O, PSP nitroLFO includes a whopping ten waveform types and an additional derived waveform type that reinterprets the selected waveform type based on the module settings, adds the derivative to the output, and offers a dedicated makeup-gain control for the derived waveform. PSP nitroLFO gives you two offset controls along with a smooth toggle for each and master trigger level, smooth, and tilt/width controls. There's a polarity switch and master output range control to blend between the two offset signals. Being a module, you also get a plethora of control-voltage-style ins and outs. PSP nitroLFO offers a 1V/oct control input, S&H input, direct trigger input, and double outs.
The stereo PSP nitroPhaser lets you set the left and right frequencies independently. You can select up to 32 stages for the phasing effect, and the module offers master input and output gain, along with depth and resonance controls with selectable right inversion buttons. PSP nitroPhaser also includes PSP's renowned softSAT saturation algorithm. Finally, this module includes all the control-voltage-style control you could want, with master stereo CV ins and outs, along with CV inputs for both frequency controls, depth, and resonance.
The PSP nitroLoFi module offers continuously adjustable sample rate emulation from 48 kHz down to 750 Hz, with buttons for antialiasing and smoothing. It also offers continuously adjustable bit rate simulation from 24 bits down to 1 bit, including a button for nonlinear emulation. PSP nitroLoFi includes eight preset buttons, with settings for DVD players, tape machines, and more, along with selectable emulations of dither/noise shaping. Rounding out the controls are master input and output gain knobs. PSP nitroLoFi doesn't skimp on control-voltage-style control either; in addition to master stereo CV ins and outs, there are individual CV inputs for sample rate and bit depth control.
PSP nitroBQF is the module adaption of the BIQUAD from the PSP N20, with its two parallel multimode filters. This unusual module features two filters with four filter shapes each: low-pass, high-pass, bandpass, and peak. The filters have independent controls for resonance and saturation. You can set the filters to have a gentle 12 dB slope, a more aggressive 24 dB slope, or a steep 36 dB slope. The module offers adjustable input and output gain, and the famed morph control to blend the processed sound with the source. PSP nitroBQF takes full advantage of its module form; not only does it include master stereo control-voltage-style inputs and outputs, but it offers CV inputs for the frequency, resonance, and morph controls.
This comb filter offers separate frequency and depth controls for the right and left channels, as well as the ability to link them or invert a specific channel. The module lets you choose between feed forward or feedback comb filter structure (with crazy amounts of resonance), and either linear, cubic, or no interpolation. It also features master input and output gain controls, as well as PSP's renowned softSAT saturation. PSP nitroComb takes full advantage of its module form; not only does it include master stereo control-voltage-style inputs and outputs, but it offers independent CV inputs for the frequency and depth controls for each channel.
PSP nitroSVF gives you all the flexibility and control options you could want in a state-variable filter, and then some. It offers two filters (A and B) with five filter types, frequency, resonance, and saturation controls for each, along with a morph control to blend the two filters. There's master input and output gain and a choice between a 12 dB and a 24 dB slope for the filters. PSP nitroSVF also includes PSP's renowned softSAT saturation algorithm. Don't forget, as a module, PSP nitroSVF includes a ton of control-voltage-style options, too. You have master stereo CV ins and outs, independent inputs for both frequency and resonance controls, and a CV input for the morph control.
PSP nitroPitch provides the expected controls for input and output gain, semitone adjustment of up to an octave lower or higher, and adjustment of up to a hundred cents lower or higher—but that's the only thing expected about this module. You can tune each channel separately or link the tuning of the two channels. You can select four different pitch shift resolutions: low, standard, high, or very high. You can switch the overlap of pitches to standard, high, or very high. You can flip the phase of the pitch shifted signal. Finally, PSP nitroPitch includes all the CV control you'd hope for, with stereo ins and outs, and individual CV control of semitone, cents, Tune L, and Tune R controls.
This noise generator module features two independent, true-stereo outputs and offers three types of noise: white, pink, and brownian, along with three distributions: flat, triangle, and gaussian. The module includes an adjustable output level with a range set and features incredibly smooth control throughout the entire spectrum, from brownian to white. PSP nitroNoise takes full advantage of its module form; not only does it include master stereo control-voltage-style outputs, but it also offers CV inputs for the noise spectrum and level controls.
PSP nitroADSR is an advanced envelope generator module. Beside a typical set of envelope controls (yet extended with delay and hold), it can generate envelope curves both linearly or filtered, work in either loop or continuous mode, and more. PSP nitroADSR offers CV-style controls for most of its parameters.
PSP nitroFreqShifter is an analoglike frequency shifter module. Unlike pitch shifters whose operating principle is to shift the input signal up or down by a musical interval, the frequency shifter shifts the signal up and down by a given amount of cycles per second (in other words: frequency). The result is highly input-signal dependent. This makes it effective as fine-tuning processor for drums or for producing subtle spatial effects for mono guitars or even sci-fi effects on voices.
PSP Spring brings three classic spring reverb emulations to your Voltage Modular rig. In addition to selecting between three spring reverb types, you can adjust the input gain, reverb tail dampening and decay time, the width of the reverb, and the mix level. You can also dial in as much twang as you want, so you can vary the spring emulations from rich and soupy to sharp and surfy.
PSP Plate offers three different selectable Plate reverb emulations. You can adjust the input gain, reverb tail dampening and decay time, the width of the reverb, and mix level. You can also dial in modulation if you want to add some movement and wobble to your plate.
PSP Space is a realistic algorithmic reverb recreation of three acoustic spaces. PSP Space offers three different algorithms: room, hall, and chamber. PSP Space is an easy-to-use simple reverb module that still packs the most important controls into its compact UI; you can adjust the input gain, reverb tail dampening and decay time, the width of the reverb, and the mix level. You can also dial in modulation if you want to add otherworldly shimmer.
PSP Delay is a bread-and-butter delay with just enough extras to make it unique. It can operate in mono or stereo and offers from as little as 10 ms up to 2 seconds of delay. You have full control over feedback, width, and mix percentage, along with adjustable output gain. You can sync PSP Delay to your host DAW. PSP Delay offers adjustable high- and low-pass filters. That's the regular stuff; then PSP Delay starts getting fun. You can use the PingPong control to adjust the bounce of the delays between channels. You can dial in percentages of saturation and wobble for tape-style effects and modulation. And since this is a CV-style module, you can dial in a positive or negative percentage of CV time offset.
This is a fully featured stereo chorus, with controls for individual or grouped predelay and range times, feedback percentage, low-pass filter frequency, crossover with adjustable frequency and bass boost, mix, and output level. But its real secret sauce is PSP Chorus's output configuration switch. You can select between two to four voices and from one to four LFOs, with the option to crossfeed the four voices. You can also fine-tune the chorus intensity, phase spread, and LFO type. And since this is a module, there are individual CV ins to control predelay times of individual voices and to control the intensity of the chorus.
PSP Flanger features a time slider from 0 to 20 ms of delay for a manual (and CV controllable) flange effect. In addition it offers width, mix, and feedback percentage controls, high- and low-pass filters, and adjustable output gain. Where it gets fun is that you also can control the modulation range (depth), the LFO rate, and the stereo spread. You can also choose the type of modulation, either stander LFO or PSP's unique wobble modulation.
PSP Rotary is an emulation of a classic mechanical modulation effect created by a rotating speaker's horn and drum. It is a great addition and enhancement for any organ-style instrument, as well as for less typical applications, such as vocal choruses, strings, or even drum tracks.
PSP VCAcmp is a classic VCA-style compressor. It is able to process using feedforward, feedback, or a combined mode to provide a wide and versatile range of compression flavors. Extra features such as external side-chain inputs and filter, automated release time, and more make this module a vital tool for any instrumental set up or processed track.
PSP GEQ10 is PSP's take on a classic ten-band graphic equalizer with a wide range of gain. The optional Smooth mode is provided to emulate the soft and cohesive response of analog processing.
PSP PEQ6 is an analog-style parametric equalizer with a wide range of settings, optimized for electronic instruments and individual track processing. The optional Smooth mode engages an emulation of analog filters to provide smooth and cohesive equalization.
PSP PolyADSR is a classic ADSR envelope generator with the ability to key follow. It offers expression control and a loop option.
PSP PolyAmp is a polyphonic voltage-controlled amplifier with the ability to smoothly control gain curves.
PSP PolyBoing is a controller module that aims to react resonantly on the rising or falling edges of the triggering signal. This lets you add exciting and creative effects on attack, release, or other CV events. In addition to its Frequency and Length (resonance decay) controls, PSP PolyBoing can dynamically control the rate via the internal resonance level, which speeds up or slows down the results.
PSP PolyEnveloper is a multistage envelope generator with five level points, an option for continuous response on legato playing, and looping between three inner points. This simple processing module is a killer choice for controlling filters and other processors.
PSP PolyFilter is a fourth-order ladder-type resonant filter with a low-pass mode as its default, but also includes band-pass and high-pass filters. Each filter offers adjustable frequency and band control within the entire spectrum. In addition to CV-style controls, PSP PolyFilter has an adjustable makeup knob, which lets you regain the optimal level for the pass-band range whenever the typical filter-induced level drop is not desired.
PSP PolyFolder is a multistage (0 to 6) signal folder with an optional soft saturation stage at the end of the signal path. It is a great tool for processing and transforming simple signals into harmonically rich ones.
PSP PolyPatch is a polyphonic patch bay with the ability to mix down to mono all inputs and all outputs.
PSP PolyWobbler controls random analog instabilities. This fun and unusual effect offers a wide range of settings that, when coupled with a more traditional processor module, are able to emulate intervoice pitch variations, filter cutoffs, level fluctuations, and other analog-style effects. Complementary positive (+) and negative (-) outputs provide signal sum and signal subtraction from the input CV signal, and you can even use PSP PolyWobbler without any input connected.
PSP Metra is a meter that offers a peak program meter (PPM) bar including a peak hold option and root mean square (RMS) bar. It utilizes the K-system indicators proposed by Bob Katz. The peak meter works in two modes: Sample Peak, which shows only peak sample values, and True Peak, which displays the peak meter oversampled by a factor of four. The fall-off speed (in dB for second) can be set independently from the peak hold time (in milliseconds). The integration time of the RMS measurement has a wide range of settings. Additionally, PSP Metra shows the signal overload above 0 dB (max +4 dB). While part of the bundle, the PSP Metra module is also available alone as a free download.
PSP Spectra is a 1/3 octave spectrum analyzer containing 30 bar meters. This highly configurable spectrum analyzer is an essential tool for any studio setup. Its wide range of parameters allows you to set it up to your needs. While part of the bundle, the PSP Spectra module is also available alone as a free download.
