The camera exposes properly for the f stop I set the lens to. The adapters I have add a glass element and I find stopping the lens down two or three stops from wide open helps image quality. Sharpness is fine, but I notice a drop in contrast. But I can control that in post processing. For me it was a reasonable investment to add several lenses to my arsenal.
