This bundle includes the Tk Panel with three trackerballs, ideal for three-way color correction; the Mf Panel with an additional trackerball plus 21 tactile response buttons, ideal for secondary work; the Kb Panel with 12 user-assignable knobs; and the Bt Panel with 14 additional tactile response buttons. This kit includes special models of the Tk, Mf, Kb, and Bt panels that feature Dark Petrol weighted trackerballs and black aluminum rings.

Q: 1. Is the Tangent Element Kb Panel compatible with Avid Media Composer 8.X?

A: Unfortunately Avid have not added native support for Tangent panels within any of their products. It is still possible to map keyboard shortcuts to the panel controls however this is obviously far more limited than native support.

Q: 2. Is it possible to ad node and secondary correction inTangent Wave2 Panel ?

A: It is. The up and down buttons on the upper right let you select what the buttons across the top do. There is a node group and a secondary group. I'd highly recommend downloading the manual from the Tangent page. They make a version specific to the major applications they support including Resolve.

Q: 3. Does the bag hold Sony 400mm or 600mm prime lens without body and hood?

A: Yes, the compagnon Element Camera Backpack (Desert Brown, 30L) can hold the Sony FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lens with a Sony body attached and the lens hood reversed. The bag can also hold the Sony FE 600mm f/4 GM OSS Lens with lens hood reversed, however without a body attached.

Q: 4. Can I use the Kb panel with a Tangent Wave2 Panel?

A: Depending on the application which you are using the panels with this may be perfectly possible. If the application supports the Tangent Mapper then the answer is yes. If not then the answer is no! If you take a look at the Wave2 Product page on www.tangentwave.co.uk and click the Application Support Tab then select your application from the menu, you'll see if the Mapper is supported.

Q: 5. Will the Tangent Element-Kb work with Lightroom using MIDI2LR?

A: Unfortunately not. The Element panels don't communicate via Midi so MIDI2LR won't help here. We are currently investigating the best ways to integrate our panels with Lightroom but currently have no released solution to offer.

Q: 6. What are interior dimensions of the main compartment?

A: Compagnon Element Sling 15 Camera Backpack internal dimensions for the main compartment with the camera insert is 16L X 11H X 6W.

Q: 7. In the first version of the wave, the balls do not fall out. Is it the same with the wave 2? Or do your balls fall out like the ripple/elements?

A: Not only do they fall out, they roll across the floor.

Q: 8. Magix Vegas Pro not supported?

A: At this time Tangent does not have support for Vegas Pro listed as an option. However you are able to custom map the controls on their units to other softwares. Even if a software is not listed as supported, you still may be able to set this up to work with it.

Q: 9. Is it possible to carry a gimbal like the DJI RSC2 in this bag? Along with the camera and lenses?

A: Even at its smallest, the RSC2 does consume quite a bit of space, especially if you plan on keeping it well protected. The Compagnon Element backpack will fit the RSC2 with minimal camera gear, and it will depend on the size of your camera and lenses.

Q: 10. I did a search on the Tangent website in their applications search for "Photoshop" and got nothing. I suspect this means I can't use this surface for color correcting in Photoshop?

A: Unfortunately, the Tangent 2 does not support Photoshop.
