Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. is it work with plus x? also it work with canon 7D mark ii?

A: This cable can work with a Plus X and a EOS 7D MKII.

Q: 2. will the PTMM connector sync shutter with flash?

A: If you have a Pocket Wizard unit connected with this adapter along with a cable release, you would need a second Pocket Wizard unit connected to the flash as well.

Q: 3. Will this trigger a Sony A7riii remotely?

A: For that camera, you need the S-VPR1-ACC cable. It's fully compatible with the PocketWizard Plus III and MultiMAX radios.

Q: 4. What's the advantage of PTMM Pre-Trigger Adapter? It says Pre-Trigger Keeps Camera Awake and Ready, but the same thing happens when only using the cable (PocketWizard CM-E3-ACC-1 Remote Camera Cable) with PocketWizard Plus III without any additional adapter.I don't understand!

A: Do you want the camera to take the time to focus before the shutter opens? Or, would you rather the camera fire at the instant you command so with the remote, say because you manually prefocused on a stationary subject? With this item you can quickly choose and change your mind as needed.

Q: 5. Ok. Could you list he cameras with an N3 terminal? I'm not a dummy, but I am not a nerd either.

A: The CM-N3-ACC-1 Pre-Trigger Remote Cable (1') is compatible with the Canon 1V series, 1D series, the 5D series, 7D, 6D, D60 (not the 60D), 20D, 30D, 40D, 50D, and the D2000.

Q: 6. Does the 3.5mm male have 3 or 4 sections? I want to use on the Lacerta GenII controller. Thanks

A: The 3.5mm connection point on the PocketWizard N-MCDC2-ACC-1 Remote Camera Cable (1') has 3 sections. This would be considered a TRS connection.

Q: 7. With regard to the switch. is O on and | off?

A: O is on. It's hard to see in the field sometimes. The pre-trigger button should go towards the camera. Your display will be deactivated when the camera is pre-triggered so if you can read your menus etc. you are not pre-triggered.

Q: 8. Will this connect my Pocket Wizard PlusX to my Fuji X-t3?

A: Hi Johnn, Yes, that should work fine. You may need to check the menu settings, with some cameras you have to choose the behavior of the sub miniphone port. Please contact PocketWizard at info@pocketwizard.com if you have any setup questions.

Q: 9. Is this works on Nikon D810 with Pocket wizard FlexTT5 Transceiver with AC3 zone controller?. I want to trigger from Nikon D810 mounted with PW FlexTT5 to two Nikon D610 which is also connected via Pocket wizard FlexTT5. Want use AC3 zone controller so I can select which camera to take 2nd shot.

A: I hadn't though of that but I did a quick test and the camera triggering port seems to ignore the zones. You could program two channels and switch from C1 to C2 to fire different cameras. This was a very basic test, and that is what I saw.

Q: 10. Canon 5d Mark iii will only Auto Focus the first shot and then it switches to manual focus. Tried updating firmware and used the different connections on the PW and the same result. Any advice?

A: thats strange.. that never happened to me.i use it with my canon 5d Mark iii along with MultiMax Pocket Wizards.maybe you are not pressing the test button all the way down on the pocket wizard?maybe you have the settings wrong on your pw ? (this is most likely the reason)maybe you got a bad cable?maybe your lens is not working properly?
