Compact, portable, and fully-adjustable, the Cambo ACTUS-MV View Camera Body is compatible with digital backs as well as mirrorless and DSLR camera bodies. Designed to offer all the movements a studio photographer requires, the front and rear standards provide generous and precisely geared movements for rise, fall, and shift application. Additionally, when working with an inclined rail, tilting both the front and rear standards allows you to restore perpendicularity when desired. To position the focus plane, the front standard offers swing and tilt movements in extremely small increments, and a similar mechanism at the rear of the camera body allows for fine focusing. Meanwhile, friction knobs on the left side of the camera can be tightened for unintended camera movements on the rail.

The base configuration of a ACTUS-MV consists of a monorail, front assembly without lensplate, and a rear frame which accepts a camera bayonet holder or digital back frame. Optional bellows can then be added depending on the application.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How does product compare to using a Nikon 85mm Tilt/shift pce lens on a Nikon D810?

A: Using the Actus system allows you to do several movements with the front and rear standard simultaneously. With the 85mm Tilt/Shift you are limited to Tilt or Shift.

Q: 2. Along with a Nikon D810 I also have a Pentax 645Z system with a 120mm f4 medium format lens. Will this combination work together?

A: You can use your Nikon D810 with the 120mm lens if you use Cambo ACB-P645. There isn't a bayonet available to mount the Pentax 645Z body to the Actus. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1131846-REG/cambo_99070719_lensplate_with_pentax_645_lens.html

Q: 3. Can I rotate the X1D body from horizontal to vertical without separating it from the system?

A: Yes. The Cambo Actus-XCD has a rotating Bayonet system. When mounted it is possible to change the orientation of the camera without removing it.

Q: 4. What's the minimum distance between the front and rear standard? Thanks.

A: The manufacture does not list the minimum distance the standards can be from each other. Technically it is very close but with depending on the lens you use you will never go to the minimum distance.

Q: 5. Would this system work with my mirrorless EOS R? I still shoot EF via an adapter, but not sure that would affect the function.

A: If you are using the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R on the Canon EOS R Mirrorless Camera, you can mount your setup directly on the Cambo ACTUS-B2 View Camera Body with Canon EF Bayonet Mount Kit (Black) without issue.

Q: 6. Does this work with the Nikon D810 ?

A: Yes, this is compatible with the Nikon D810.

Q: 7. Does the product come in a hard case, for easy transport?

A: The product does not include any case other than the retail box it comes in.

Q: 8. Which of the following lenses would work with this body. I would use a Nikon D800 camera with it.Rodenstock Grandagon-N 75 mm f/4.5 .Rodenstock Grandagon-N 90 mm f/6.8 Rodenstock Apo-Sironar-S 150 mm f/5.6 Nikon Nikkor-w 210 mm f/5.6Fujinon Compact 300 mm f/8.5??

A: This camera is compatible with a variety of ACTUS-B lensplates.

Q: 9. I want to upgrade my d800 for architechture and macro photography, I own a nikkor 14mm 2.8, 20mm 2.8, 24mm 2.0, 28mm 2.8 and a 35mm 1.4 for architechture and a macro 60mm 2.8 and the 105mm micro for macro photography. Will theese lenses cover the whole sensor in the d800 for both cases?

A: None of those lenses will focus properly when using a Nikon body. Because this system introduces a bellows in between the lens and the camera body those lenses will not sit at the correct point for infinity focus.Instead I can recommend (with the appropriate lens board):Hassleblad V lenses Legacy Mamiya RZ/RB LensesLarge Format lenses 90mm and longer.

Q: 10. How much shift can I expect using a Sony A7R II with an E-mount Otus 55mm?

A: You cannot use a Sony on this product. There is no bayonet mount available for it.

I use these pouches for storing all my lenses. Simple and effective protection.

I keep all my lenses in these OpTech pouches - sized differently, of course, for each lens. Evn when they are being carried in my camera backpack I keep them stored in these since sometimes I will put more than one lens in a compartment and I have no concerns about them being jostled around. They are a very inexpensive way to protect ones lenses.

This is the perfect size for a Contax Carl Zeiss G2 f:2.8 90mm Sonnar.

Get the sizing perfect, they are neat and save bag space. Too big, even a little too big, they are not so neat and the lid doesn't stay shut.
The 282, nominally intended for the Nikon FTZ, Fringer and similar adapters is disappointingly sloppy. So nearly right.
