Compact, portable, and fully-adjustable, the Cambo ACTUS-MV View Camera Body is compatible with digital backs as well as mirrorless and DSLR camera bodies. Designed to offer all the movements a studio photographer requires, the front and rear standards provide generous and precisely geared movements for rise, fall, and shift application. Additionally, when working with an inclined rail, tilting both the front and rear standards allows you to restore perpendicularity when desired. To position the focus plane, the front standard offers swing and tilt movements in extremely small increments, and a similar mechanism at the rear of the camera body allows for fine focusing. Meanwhile, friction knobs on the left side of the camera can be tightened for unintended camera movements on the rail.

The base configuration of a ACTUS-MV consists of a monorail, front assembly without lensplate, and a rear frame which accepts a camera bayonet holder or digital back frame. Optional bellows can then be added depending on the application.

Q: 1. All of this work with xcd lenses?

A: Actus-XCD cannot work with the Hasselblad XCD lenses at this time. The lenses themselves are unable to be controlled when not connected to the camera body, and if used with a Hasselblad X1D body would result in the bellows acting as a series of extension tubes and not the intended perspective control method.

Q: 2. Is there a lens plate that accepts Sony E mount lenses available for ACTUS available?

A: At this time there is not any way to mount Sony-E lenses on the Actus platform.

Q: 3. What lens would I need to work with this ? Camera: Nikon D810.

A: You would need to purchase a lens board with the Cambo ACTUS-B4 View Camera Body with Nikon F Bayonet Mount Kit. Which lens you would use would depend on which lens board you purchase. If you look under the accessory section, you can find the various options.

Q: 4. I would like to use the Cambo B-4 with a Nikon Z7 Mirrorless Camera to photograph architecture. What lenses would I need to have infinity focus and have the whole sensor of the camera covered? Thanks

A: If you’d like to use a mirrorless Nikon on the Actus, you need the Actus-G combined with Nikon Z bayonet. The Actus-B4 is for use with Nikon DSLR cameras. The Actar-24 is designed to cover the full sensor and more. You’ll have 10mm of shift to both sides. Physically more, but beyond 10 the quality deteriorates. The Actar-35 is also a good option, but this lens is a retrofit, meaning the client needs to send in his lens to us and we rebuild it. Nikon F lenses can also be used on the Actus/Nikon-Z combination. There won’t be any limitations in focussing to infinity, but in general the image circle of these lenses is too small to be of any use.

Q: 5. Along with a Nikon D810 I also have a Pentax 645Z system with a 120mm f4 medium format lens. Will this combination work together?

A: The product does not include any case other than the retail box it comes in.

A: Most would not use a tilt shift lens on a device that has tilt and shift. But technically it should work. It does depend on the camera you are attaching to the setup but in general it will cover the image and be 17mm.

A: None of those lenses will focus properly when using a Nikon body.
