Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. This is for our school. Is this a powered mixer or will I need to purchase power amps to drive stage monitors and PA speakers?

A: The Allen & Heath ZED-24 is a mixer only. You would need to connect it to an amplifier if you want to power passive speakers and/or passive stage monitors. It seems like you are looking for something more like B&H # YAEMX5014C or B&H # YAEMX7.

Q: 2. How many tracks the Korg SoundLink MW-2408 Hybrid Analog/Digital Mixer have?

A: According to Page 13 in the manual for the Korg SoundLink MW-2408: "You can distribute Korg SoundLink's 16 or 24 inputs into 8 outputs fed to an audio/digital interface."

Q: 3. Does this recorder work with OBS for live streaming?

A: Because the Zoom LiveTrak L-8 Portable 8-Channel Digital Mixer and Multitrack Recorder can act as an audio interface into the computer over USB, it could indeed serve as an audio source within OBS in livestreaming applications.

Q: 4. Can the control room be used as another auxiliary?

A: Yes, the control room output on the Mackie Onyx24 Analog Mixer can be used as an auxiliary output, if desired.

Q: 5. Will it record 24-bit/48 kHz Resolution ?

A: Yes, the L-12 is capable of recording at 48kHz/24-bit.

Q: 6. Would this fully work with Linux? (Linux mint) hoping it might since all the processing is done in device n not software

A: Yes, the Mackie ProFX10v3+ 10-Channel Analog Mixer with Built-In FX, USB Recording, and Bluetooth is compatible with Linux.

Q: 7. Allen & Heath supporting windows (os) Windows XP, Wista, Windows7, Windows8, or Windows 10 ?

A: The Allen Heath mixers are plug and play. No drivers required. Currently confirmed compatible with Windows 7-10.

Q: 8. does this board offer compression for each line in?

A: Unfortunately not, the Mackie Onyx24 24-Channel Premium Analog Mixer with Multitrack USB does not offer dedicated compression for each line in channel.

Q: 9. I have the Zoom L-8. Connected to my computer via USB; cell phone connected to L-8's 1/8" TRRS jack using the supplied cable. The manual says the caller will hear the master mix, but the caller is not hearing the master mix; they're hearing me (via mic plugged into one of the six mic/line inputs) but NOT the audio coming from my computer (YouTube playback for testing). I'm hearing it on my headphones (master mix) but the caller is not hearing the full master mix. Is there something I'm doing wrong, or is the manual incorrect? (It says you can't use the Line In for channel 7 when using phone, but says nothing about USB in--and I CAN hear the USB in in the master mix). Thanks.

A: The audio also needs to be connected to the L8 in one of the mic inputs which are audio line inputs if no mic is being utilize. if you have the caller connected to line 7/8 mini jack dont connect nothing there only phone. its best to have a second device playing the audio connected to the L8

Q: 10. Can I use the Motorola CLS 1410 to communicate with these?

A: Radios operating on UHF channels such as the Motorola CLS1410 will not communicate with radios operating on VHF channels such as the Motorola MOTOTRBO CP200d Portable 5W 16-Channel Analog/Digital 2-Way Radio (VHF Band). If the UHF version of the CP200d is selected (BH #MOCP200DU) there is a possibility that the two radios could communicate if programmed to the same frequency channels.
