Light and sturdy enough to carry heavy load. Used it with medium format camera mounted with 70-200 mm/2.8 with 1.4 TC to shoot racing go-karts. Helped a lot to support weight of the camera and lens and enabled me to move about with ease as well. Great to use when taking pictures of fast moving subjects.

This replaced a Tenba monopod lost at a recent event. If it wasn't lost it was destined for a dumpster. The legs never did lock quite right. It was not wearing well. The Oben is sturdier and appears to be better made. Time will tell.
