Bought this primarily for video but also to do some occasional stills. First thing that blew me away was how tiny the lens is, so portable, it fits in my pocket. The autofocus is FAST, blows my other Panasonic lenses (20mm & 12-60) away in that regard. It's also very sharp wide open which is nice since 1.7 isn't actually 1.7 on an MFT. Great value and quality all around. 5

This is a very sharp lens that is great for portraits or landscapes. Just as sharp as the Olympus 45mm in my opinion but with added features. Excellent close focus capabilities and built in stabilizer. I feel that this lens equals 85mm lenses from full frame companies like Nikon, Canon or Sigma. A great lightweight lens to use everyday. 5

Excellent lens for the price. Bokeh is great and if you can get far enough from your subject makes an excellent interview lens. Eventually would like the Leica 1.2 42.5 but it's a lot of money. 5
