Q: 3. Has anybody used this device to feed HDMI over 200ft Cat5/6 to Black Magic switcher input?

A: We have tried to run 4 tv's 2 at 50ft and 2 at 100 - 200ft strictly HDMI off of this thing and it usually has an issue where 1 TV will turn off or loose signal. 4 tv's under 50ft usually works fine. Don't know about a single run though. if your converting over to cat 5 it would fall more on the hdmi to cat 5 converter I believe. This does not input or output cat 5/6.

Q: 8. I hope my question isn't too specialized - I will be grateful for an educated guess. I am using a Fuji XT-3 to shoot video. I have used an HDMI cable to run an external monitor (just a cheap desktop monitor) and, separately, to control an audio recorder's start/stop (the Sound Devices MixPre-3 ii). Of course I want to do both at the same time and this device looks like it might enable me to do that. Does this setup have a fair chance of working?

A: This something you'd need to test out to see the results, but we would tend to think a product like this would not pass the needed info to trigger the start/stop recording through HDMI.

A: According to Muxlab this product has a 1 to 2 Frame Latency. It is a very low latency unit.

A: This product will output the resolution you input in to it, up to UHD 4K. We are not aware of it being able to send out two different resolutions.
