Q: 4. Can I power the unit through the usb so it runs continuously?

A: Yes you can. But bear in mind that cameras like these are not designed to run continuously for long periods. At some point it may start to overheat and shut itself down.

Q: 5. Can you connect the camera to a external power source for continual use so you wouldn't have to change the batteries out? Would like to fasten it to the top of my boat for water skiing.

A: If you want to have an external power source, you need to purchase the adapter kit for motorcycles. It has a opening on the side to connect to a power source. We use a external battery to video sports but it isn't as waterproof because of that opening...

A: for video is from 1/2/5/10/30s or 1 minute, for photo single shot 2/5/10/20s

A: There is no night vision capability. The lens is fixed and not adjustable in any physical way. The adjustments are all digital and not optical.

A: yes we did. But we thought it's really not as good as thought. It's too bulky as a dash cam since now they have something that's really compact.

Q: 9. Does this sj cam have the same mounting system as a go pro? So can I use my go pro mounts, like chest mount etc, with this?

A: All the Go-Pro accessories I have used work on this camera.

Q: 10. Can you livestream the video to facebook or youtbe?

A: Unfortunately this camera will not provide a live stream to social media websites, nor will it have an HDMI out to work with an HDMI capture device.
