For mobile journalists, videographers, and vloggers, the Godox WMicS2 Kit 1 is a wireless system with one transmitter with lavalier microphone and one dual-channel receiver. It delivers reliable transmission with clear sound up to 656' over 96 selectable UHF frequencies directly to your camera, mixer, or smartphone with 3.5mm port. Easy-to-use with plug-and-play operation, this system offers a complete solution for recording dialogue, interviews, or lectures.

The clip-on transmitter offers both a built-in microphone and a 3.5mm port for the included omnidirectional lavalier, which attaches to a lapel or shirt. You can record backup audio via the TF card slot for worry-free audio capture. Built-in features like a low-cut filter and mute can be controlled via the onboard buttons.

The dual-channel receiver can record in either mono or stereo modes. You can easily add an additional transmitter (available separately) for two-person applications. Both devices come with back clips and magnet mounts to discreetly attach to videographer or subject. They have 1/4"-20 threads for mounting to compatible cold shoe adapters. Internal 770mAh lithium batteries power both components and included USB-C cables charge them back up once depleted. A foam windscreen can be attached to the transmitter to reduce wind interference.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can use this for vocal singing?

A: Yes, the Saramonic HU9 96-Channel Digital UHF Wireless Handheld Mic for UwMic9 System can be used for a musical vocal performance.

Q: 2. Will this work with a Sony receiver in the 566 MHz range?

A: The Saramonic TX-XLR9 Wireless Plug-On Transmitter (514 to 596 MHz) is not compatible with Sony Receivers. Sony receivers are only compatible with Sony transmitters.

Q: 3. What is the locking system for the lav mics? (Godox Proprietary, Sennheiser, Sony...)

A: The Godox WMicS1 Pro Kit 2 Two-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System uses the same 3.5mm TRS locking connector and wiring configuration as Sennheiser does for its lavalier microphones..

Q: 4. What type of lavalier is it compatible with? sennheiser or sony?

A: The Saramonic UwMic9S Mini KIT2 Compact 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System is compatible with Sennheiser-style lavaliers. This is generally the case, as the vast majority of manufacturers treat Sennheiser's wiring scheme as the default for 3.5mm microphones.

Q: 5. Are the microphones in the set dynamic or condenser?

A: The included lavalier microphones are condenser styles that use plug-in power from the transmitter for operation..

Q: 6. Is there a microphone that can be used with one of this systems transmitter to put on a podium?

A: There are a few options for you. 1) You can get the Saramonic UMIC-M2 gooseneck microphone that plugs right into the transmitter. Please the transmitter on the podium and pick up the presenters that way. 2) You can get the Saramonic HU9 handheld transmitter for that system, place it on a mic stand of the podium. 3) You can get the Saramonic TX-XLR9 Plug-On Transmitter and use any XLR mic you want with it. All options are available at B&H. I hope that helps.

Q: 7. Will the TX9 perform good if I connect the receiver RX9 via the SR-UM10-CC1 to a Zoom H8?

A: Yes, I have connected it to a Zoom H4n recorder with no problems.

Q: 8. Is this prone to drop outs? Is it noisy, in quiet setting is there a high noise floor? What is the range of input gain adjustment? Can that be adjusted from the Receiver, is it viewable on the receiver ?

A: The Godox TX3-XLR Plug-On Wireless Transmitter features an adjustable 20 or 50mW output power option for a specified operating range of 196.9' / 60 m (Line of Sight), making it less susceptible to drop-outs. Noise floor experienced would be largely dictated by the specifications of the microphone connected. Although not specified, input gain adjustment is likely possible on the transmitter but not the receiver.

Q: 9. How does this system compare to the Sennheiser G4 system or the Sony UWP-D?

A: The Saramonic UwMic9 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System is most similar to the Sony UWP-D system. There is not currently a dual-channel version of the Sennheiser EW 100 G4 available. The UwMic9 transmitters feature a similar output spec of 10/20/30mW to the Sony UTX-B40's 5/30mW and Sennheiser's 30mW output. The UwMic9 features less potential frequency options, topping out at 96 frequencies, where Sony offers up to 2,772 and Sennheiser offers 1,680. All makes do feature the ability to scan for an open channel based on location. Saramonic's RX9 receiver features a single TRS output for both micropone channels, where Sony's URX-P03D offers an individual output for each. Overall, however, the Saramonic UwMic9 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System provides significant value at its price point.

Q: 10. The frequency of Sony microphones is 548 - 607 MHZ. Can I use this system?

A: Although on a similar set of frequencies, the Godox TX3-XLR Plug-On Wireless Transmitter would not be compatible with Sony wireless microphone system components. Unless specified compatible, most wireless products use their own proprietary communication protocols and are not cross-compatible with other brands making similar products on similar frequency ranges. The Godox TX3-XLR Plug-On Wireless Transmitter is specified for use with the Godox WMicS1 Wireless Systems.

I bought this trigger because my godox X1T-N wasn't compatible with my Nikon z7. I tried numerous times to upgrade the firmware on my PC, however it just wasn't working. I'm glad I can shoot with strobes now with my z7.

I bought XProN and twoX1R-N units for my Nikon SB-5000 . I take a picture in TTL and with TCM I can switch to manual and adjust every flash separately : power , zoom etc. without going to my flashes and make adjustments . Works great , nomisfires .Making changes for each speedlight from XPoN is easy and saves time . Imagine if you had 4 speedlights on a 9' light stand and had to make adjustments to all of them, taking down putting back up thats pain in the a... . I have 4 pocketwizard IV which they cost twice us much and there is no HSS. Im going to buy another XPro and a fewX1R-N units and sell pocketwizards IV.
So far Im very happy with this product.
