Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How loud do the fans get, do you hear them?

A: The Yamaha PX8 is made primarily for live sound reinforcement. In that environment, you would not hear the cooling fans in the PX8 amplifier.

Q: 2. how do you rack mount this amp?

A: Use a rack shelf.

Q: 3. Can you connect this to home audio receiver?

A: Not from the speaker outputs on the home audio receiver. Only if it has pre-outs available for that. A lot of models only have pre-outs for use with powered subwoofers.

Q: 4. how to bridge 4 speakers at 8 ohms?

A: I'm afraid I had to call the manufacturer in Canada - Alas now days weno longer have the luxury of manuals inside the box with the amp .I also have 4 speakers bridged at 8ohms but cannot remember theconfiguration with the connecting blocks.Once you get this set up you will be well pleased - This Is A terrific power amp - 10 stars PC LA

Q: 5. Is there an aux cord? or would I need the usb cord and then an adapter to the phone?

A: The CDi2000 is designed for commercial installations. The inputs on this power amp are 3pin phoenix connectors. If you are looking to connect audio devices to the amplifier, it is recommended to do so with a mixer which can be wired with adapters to the phoenix connector inputs of the amplifier.

Q: 6. what kind of speakers to use with these?

A: This amplifier is designed for commercial installation systems that offer 70 or 100 volt taps.

Q: 7. Is this amplifier CE certified?

A: The Ashly TRA-4150 is Not only CE certified but Safety/Compliance: TUV, FCC, and RoHS.

Q: 8. can i install a separate volume control in the wall in another room ? if so is there a spec?

A: You can as long as it's able to handle the wattage. In this case it would be 100w per channel.

Q: 9. This unit says it has 8-channel AES inputs. Does it also have 8-channel AES outputs?

A: AES3 digital audio output is available as a 4- or 8-channel option for the Ashly ne8800A Network Enabled Digital Signal Processor. The AES3 outputs are pass-through only (no DSP).

Q: 10. Would this amp work with PVI 10 (Peavey) speakers (100 watts) along a Pioneer ddj controller? If is does...What accessories do I need in order to connect everything?

A: The Peavey PVI 10 speakers handle 100W peak power (not constant power) and 50W program power, so they handle less power than the amplifier puts out. You would need to be very careful to avoid damaging the speakers with too much power from the amp and keep the volume level low or use speakers that can handle more power like Mackie C200 Passive 10" 2-Way Loudspeaker (B&H # MAC200). The Peavey speakers have 1/4" inputs and the Pyle amp has SpeakOn output connectors so you could use cables like the Hosa Technology SKT-200 Series Speakon to 1/4" Male Phone Speaker Cable (12 Gauge) - 50' (B&H # HOSKT250Q). Please contact us if you would like further assistance with your setup. You may be better off using powered speakers instead of the amp and passive speakers.
