Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is it possible to create 360 videos using only 2 e mount cameras such as a6300?

A: While it is possible, it would not be recommended as the video would likely have a lot of distortion and you would also need to do all of the stitching and software editing yourself. It can be done but 360 cameras make it a lot simpler and easier.

Q: 2. Would the back knob prevent flipping the camera lcd screen such as the camera Fuji XT2 ? How many millimeters of clearance are there ? Would it fit the Hasselblad 500cm ?

A: The back knob will not be an issue with either camera because the quick release plate raises the camera bottom so it is higher than the knob. The clearance is likely 5-10mm.

Q: 3. Is this rail able to be mounted in an arca-swiss style panning clamp (like the Really Right Stuff PCL-1)? That is, I can mount this rail on an arca-swiss style panning clamp and then mount my DSLR to the rail -also with an arca-swiss style L-bracket? Thanks.

A: Short answer, yes. That's pretty much how I use mine - the rail is profiled like an Arca plate so goes on the tripod mount then the camera L-plate mounts on the end of the rail. Depending on your lens, I'd consider a longer rail than this one. I ummmed and aaaahed about this and a 200mm rail and should have got the longer one. When I align my lens nodal point with the tripod, this rail only sits about 3/4 of the way through the Arca bracket on the tripod. It's very dependent on lens, of course, so worth checking where the nodal point on your lens is first prior to buying.

Q: 4. Hello, with this Nodal Rail is nothing more necessary? I mean, do I put the Nodal Rail on my tripod, and can I use it for panoramic photographs? Or do I need to buy something else to complement it with the Nodal Rail?

A: You would need two of the other rails to build the full panoramic shooting rig. An easier alternative would be to get an L-Bracket and a tripod head that pans.

Q: 5. Does this rail have laser etched or painted on marks?

A: I'm not sure how to tell the difference between painted and laser etched, yet the numbers that are present (on each side of the rail, as well as the top) appear to be high quality and durable. The nodal rail also has a nice feel (weight) in the hand, and is solidly well constructed. I'd recommend the purchase. The only thing missing is a marker system to mark your settings once you've establish them for your particular lens. My work around for this has been some black electrical tape to mark my key positions, or to write the numbers down on some paper I keep with me.

Q: 6. Has anyone tried this with an Acratech GP/GP-s/GP-ss ball head? I am thinking about saving some cash and using this nodal slide with my GP-ss with lever clamp.

A: I am sorry but the manufactures have not tested that Nodal Rail with that head. And Arca-Swiss heads are very precise and many items that are Arca-Swiss style will not fit as well as some other brands or its own brand.Best is to get an Arca-Swiss brand with their head.

Q: 7. Will this lens give full circular image mounted on a APS-C camera like the sony a6300/6000?

A: Yes, all it takes is round circular images.

Q: 8. Do they come from the Singapore factory or the Taiwan?

A: The country of origin for this product would be Taiwan

Q: 9. does this camera have WiFi?

A: I'm sorry, no, the Elph 180 does not have wifi.

Q: 10. What's the best external burner for these? I have the LG BH16NS40 Internal Blu-ray Writer and have experienced nothing but problems.

A: I have a LiteOn iHBS112 and did not waste one of them. I have been using them for more than 10 years now. Best brand for burning.
