I have many of these for various purposes. The most recent application is for screwing the 1/4-20 end into the side of ProMedia Gear's Cage for the Elinchrom ELB 400 (AND Ranger Quadra), then inserting the opposite end into a Super Clamp. When used in this way it makes a very helpful mount for attaching an Elinchrom ELB 400 (or Ranger Quadra) onto a light stand, instead of it hanging from a strap! 5

What can you say, it just works as expected. Provides a 1/4x20 mount on one side and a 3/8x16 on the other; pretty much all you need as an add-on to the Manfrotto pole clamp. 5
