Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How does this compare to Denon DP-450USB? Trying to decide between the two on B&H site. Thanks

A: Although the Denon is the prettier, more attractive looking TT, the Audio-Technica is the far better value and more robustly built unit. The included cartridge is superior as well.

Q: 2. What is the main difference between AT LP1240 USB vs AT LP1240 USBXP?

A: The XP comes with the XP5 cartridge and the non-XP version does not come with a cartridge.

Q: 3. What speakers will work with this turntable, and do I need to buy additional cords to connect them?

A: You can use any powered speakers with the AT-LP60X. A few examples of compact solutions we offer are the Kanto YU2, the Edifier R1280T, the PreSonus Eris E3.5, as well as the Mackie CR3-X. Each of these speaker models include RCA cable that can be used directly with your AT-LP60X turntable.

Q: 4. Q1. what is the tracking force range for this turntable? Q2. does this manual turntable have an auto park feature or auto shutoff for the tonearm at the end of the last track?

A: thank you for your email. you can adjust from 0-3 grams depending on your cartridge weight. This turntable does have any auto stop or park features.

Q: 5. Does this turntable have USB out?

A: No USB out. This TT offers Bluetooth and USB output: Sony PS-LX310BT Stereo Turntable with Bluetooth & USB B&H # SOPSLX310BT - https://bhpho.to/2Kbuld8

Q: 6. Question about checking/adjusting the speed using the strobe dots: On the consumer model AT-LP120XUSB it shows that three of the four rows of platter dots correspond to 33, 45, and 78 speeds which seems straightforward. On this model the markings seem to say that the rows of dots instead correspond to relative speed percentages (from the image it looks like +7.2, +3.3, 0, and -3.3%). How do you know which rows of platter dots to use to calibrate to 33, 45, and 78 rpm? Thank you.

A: The Audio-Technica Consumer AT-LP140XP Direct Drive Professional DJ Turntable has two buttons on the left for selecting 33, 45, or 78 RPM (press both together for 78 RPM). The dots next to the numbers for the speed percentages are different sizes. "0" is the indicator for normal speed and it correlates with the largest dot in the strobe display, so if you want the speed to be normal, and not faster or slower, that is the strobe dot to look at when you are calibrating the speed. The "Quartz" button next to the tone arm turns the pitch function on and off. There are tempo range buttons on the right corner along with a pitch control slider switch to adjust the speed, and a selection indicator that lights up blue for standard or locked RPM settings. The stroboscopic lights around the platter work just like a strobe tuner for musical instruments to give you a visual indication of the platter speed. The dots will look like they have stopped moving when the platter is turning at the rated speed, and they will look like they are moving to the left if the platter is turning too fast, and they will look like they are moving to the right, if the platter is turning too slowly. You can find more information about checking and adjusting the pitch controls on page 11 of the user manual: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/lit_files/642204.pdf

Q: 7. Are there speaker built in or do need to purchase separate to hear

A: The LP60 unfortunately does not have any internal speakers. You will need to connect the unit to a speaker system.

Q: 8. Can I capture record audio output directly to a USB stick with this player? If so, what is the bitrate and file format?

A: The Audio-Technica Consumer AT-LP1240-USB XP Professional DJ Direct-Drive Turntable (USB & Analog) with AT-XP5 Cart will not record directly to a USB drive but rather acts as an A/D interface to record directly into Mac and Windows computers using an audio recording software of the user's choosing. The turntable's USB interface provides 16 bit / 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz sampling rates.

Q: 9. No mention (anywhere) of the cartridge/needle. Not even sure those are included. B&H, c'mon!!!!

A: The cartridge and stylus are included: "Integral Dual Magnet phono cartridge with replaceable diamond stylus" Headshell and cartridge: The cartridge (AT3600L) is attached to the headshell

Q: 10. What means full automatic? It is that the arm start moving to the disc and return back after end the long playing?

A: Yes, as others have said with the push of a button you can start playing and it will return once it reaches the end of a record.
