The RMv2 Remote Meter for Battery Distribution Systems from Remote Audio provides convenient volt and amp metering for the BDSv3, MEONv2, Hot Strip, and Shunt Box. The RMv2 also acts as an On/Off controller. Unlike its predecessor, which required a separate cable, the RMv2 has an integral 4' cable with a 6-pin Lemo style circular push-pull locking connector that is keyed to be inserted in one way. This provides quick and easy connection to your primary device.

The RMv2 has a clear LCD readout display, and also provides a low battery warning. It includes mounting strips and a removable steel clip so you can mount it for convenient monitoring and on/off control. The unit is easy to use. Simply connect it to your device and flip the toggle switch to "on". Voltage is displayed by default, and you can press and hold the "AMPS" button to display the current draw in Amps.

Q: 1. Hello all, i need 18 of cable THEN the connectors length on top of that so total length would be 18 (cable) plus length of connectors? SO since the specs do not have a drawing i must spew a question - thank you -Rollo (canare wire neutrik XLR female to TRS gold

A: The total length is 18 - end to end.

Q: 2. Can I use this to send tc from a Sound Devices Mixpr6 II to a Denecke JB1 syncbox (and then use the sync box to feed camera)?

A: No, the Remote Audio BNC to 1/8" (3.5mm) Timecode Cable would not work with the 3.5mm output connection on the Sound Devices MixPre-6 II Field Recorder. This cable uses a TRRS (3-ring) 3.5mm connection for compatibility with smart phones and similar device connections. The CAMVATE Right-Angle BNC to Right-Angle 3.5mm Mini Jack Timecode Cable (BH #CAC2385) is a suitable alternative for the described application: https://bhpho.to/3RYR5NA

Q: 3. Is there a MiniMount compatible with Tascam TM-10LW and Tascam TM-10LB ?

A: There is not a specific mount for the TM-10 mics, but here is a good foam based option. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1358586-REG/remote_audio_urs_foamiebl_foamies_black.html

Q: 4. Does this lock to the battery like the audioroot cup?

A: Yes. The battery locks into the cup.

Q: 5. Which direction does the TC travel on this cable? Does it output through the 3.5mm end or the 5 pin lemo end?

A: This cable is made to send time code from a TC generator, using the Lemo connection, going into an iPhone or iPad's 3.5mm mic level input.

Q: 6. Can this cable provide Tentacle sync to a Red?

A: I do not believe this cable will work. While we do not sell the Tentacle System, I was able to find this diagram on their website that shows cabling going from the Tentacle to a RED camera. RED cameras have a 4 Pin LEMO, not 5 Pin.http://bit.ly/2hI7TYMWe do have B&H #RECAZERXEPIC, which is a TRS 3.5mm to 4 Pin Lemo. This cable may work, but you really will want to consult directly with Tentacle for their opinion on the matter first.

Q: 7. Can you use the NP-9X 96Wh Lithium-Ion Battery with this?

A: Yes, the Remote Audio BDSv4U Battery Distribution System can use the IDX System Technology NP-9X 96Wh Li-Ion NP-Style Battery as a power source if the Remote Audio 24" BDS Input Cable with NP-1 Battery Cup to TA4F (BH #REBDSNPADW) is implemented to adapt the battery to the distribution system.

Q: 8. does this need a cable to connect the battery to the mixer, or is that a separate cable?

A: You will need to purchase a NP1 Battery Cup( a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/283344-REG/Remote_Audio_BDSNPADW_18_BDS_Power_Input.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/283344-REG/Remote_Audio_BDSNPADW_18_BDS_Power_Input.html/a) This is where you will plug in your NP1 battery. Depending on what mixer you have you will need a Hirose to BDS Cable. Hope that helps you out. SuperNova Audio, LLC

Q: 9. Is there a version for 3.5 mm TRS Sennheiser connection?

A: To use the Remote Audio Lav Snake with a 3.5mm connector you will need this adapter: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1076682-REG/remote_audio_lsadev_3_5_adapter_for_lavalier.html

Q: 10. This breakout box is rated for "5A Max Global (60W)". Should I get a more powerful unit if I want to power the SD888, with SL-2 superslots and 8M power station (for the A20 Minis)?

A: As the Remote Audio BDSv4U Battery Distribution System is designed for bag use with components drawing less power, it would be recommended to implement multiple redundant power distros with a second battery or perhaps a larger power distro designed for cart use such as BH #REMEONLIFE Remote Audio Meon LiFe Cart Power System: https://bhpho.to/3ITnzEE

Wery nice piece of gear. On one side you can ask yourself why to pay so much money for something like a BDS. But on the other side this will probably serve you forever and you can really rely on this construction. It is worth it's price.
