I really like this lens for my Olympus OMD E M1 Mark II kit. I have the 12-40 mm f2.8 PRO, the 40-120mm f2.8 PRO lenses and the Panasonic Leica 25mm f1.4 and needed to compliment these with something wider for landscapes. I decided to go with this lens instead of the Olympus 7-14 mm f2.8 PRO mostly because I have a similar Leica lens on a LUMIX LX100 (one of my backup cameras) and have been simply amazed at how good it is. I’ve had this new lens out shooting twice now and am completely satisfied with my choice. The lens build is robust, the feel and action is smooth as silk. Auto focus is lightning fast. The images are sharp end to end and the color rendering is superb. The photos just pop. I am excited to continue experimenting with lens and have a notion that it may become one of my favorites. You won’t be disappointed if you decide on this lens.

Solid; beautiful wide angle results. Great for architectural shots. Remember it is bigger and heavier to accommodate the lens.

I am very happy with the sharpness of this lens throughout the entire focal range. Exceptional lens for astrophotography where the extra stop of light results in significantly better images. I recommend this lens without reservation.

Great construction and smooth functioning. I also have the Panasonic 12-35 which is just as sharp, but the colors on the Leica are more vibrant and the wider end is very useful.

Very sharp, contrasty, edge sharpness excellent. I like the zoom range and lens does not weigh too much.

Noticeably better results and functionality. Especially the ability to use a screw-in filter on this lens.

My collection of m4/3 lenses was missing a super-wide angle, and this fits the bill nicely. 8-18mm is a more useful range of focal length than the 7-14, and the inclusion of filter threads on the front means I can use ND filters without a matte box. f2.8 on the wide end allows even a bit of shallow DOF when close focusing. Lightweight and the autofocus is very responsive. So far I love this lens.

This is an amazing lens. Super wide angle, beautiful images can be captured. I previously owned the Olympus 7-14mm Pro, but this lens is much more useful with the filter ring on front - I can add ND filters for very bright exteriors. All metal construction and still lighter than the Olympus. Don't regret, buy it!
