I bought my ups serveral years ago, (a back-up CS 350) and have not had any problem with it at all. It performs exactly as it's supposed to, filtering out electrial spikes and providing temporary power. ( I live in an area where we have major thunder storms and power outages every winter) All I have to do is replace the battery every few years,(about 2-3 yrs) which is prety easy. It is completly sealed, so there is no problem with spilling acid. 5

I bought my first APC back up about 4-5 years ago and the battery has lasted that long. Recently the battery died but in the interim between ordering a new battery and its arrival (less than a week) a very bad storm came through and zapped my fax machine though the computer remained intact. The battery arrived within days and I am a happy customer once again. 5

The battery wasn't for our location so it was drop shipped to the correct office. The installer had no experience with a UPS battery replacement. He didn't call, but just followed included instructions, and was successful. And, the battery return for recycle was very easy. 5
