It is designed to add Arca-type mounting capabilities to the large telephoto lens without adding a supplementary quick release plate. Made from a single piece of aluminum, this 5.5"-long foot features a rearward heel section to assist with balance when using heavier camera bodies or a body with a battery grip. It has built-in 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads for accessory mounting plus a stainless steel QR socket for compatible strap mounts.
