A: According to Presonus, when the interface is powered via USB which is required when using an iPad, the unit will not charge when in use, however should maintain a charge. The unit will be compatible with most third party apps capable of recording audio.

A: This card is not a direct replacement for the Delta card in several ways; not the least of which is that the output of the MAYA44 is unbalanced high impedance low level line audio, versus the balanced low impedance high level output of the Delta 1010. I had about a dozen of the Delta series and have tried several replacements for it since being discontinued by M-Audio. This card works in place of a Delta 44, but with the understanding that the outputs are not fully compatible in level and impedance. As for a direct replacement of the Delta series cards, there is nothing I have found in a buss card (several USB options out there) anywhere in this price point. Obviously, Audio Science and Digigram makes exact replacement boards, but at 10x the price.
