The FLOW 4K 12G-SDI/HDMI Up/Down/Cross Converter from SCIENCE IMAGE offers an all-in-one signal converter and optical video receiver and transmitter with both 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 inputs and outputs. The FLOW can convert 1 channel of either video signal up to 2160p60 into any format specified by the user. Conversion is available to 35 types of SMPTE or PAL/NTSC formats.

The design of the device features a 1.3" OLED display screen, which shows the unit's working status and parameters as well as input and output in real time. A 3.5mm stereo audio line-level input and headphone output are integrated into the back of the device for audio monitoring. Power can be received by the device either through the Ethernet input or the DC connection with the included 12 VDC power supply.

A: Unfortunately no. You would only be able to output one at a time with Datavideo DAC-45 4K.

A: This converter has a USB 2.0 connection.

Q: 3. Can the Datavideo 4K Up/Down Cross Converter do ROI Scaling?

A: No, DAC-45 will not do ROI scaling. Please look at our KMU-100 4K Multi-camera processor if you are looking for ROI scaling. KMU-100 allows you to take 4 ROI SDI outputs from one 4K camera.

Q: 4. Using the software to control the MU-DUCC, are you able to downgrade and HD/SDI signal at 30fps (frames per second), to a composite signal that runs at 15 fps? If so, how? Thanks.

A: The composite signal would be NTSC 29.97. What equipment wants 15fps?

Q: 5. Does this function similarly to the Aida GCON-HDMI, in that it basically converts a non-genlocked cameras output to genlocked?

A: The Aida GCON-HDMI is unique in its function and the DECIMATOR 12G-CROSS 4K does not perform the same function of creating Genlock.

Q: 6. Can I take a 4k HDMI signal and Convert it to 1080p HDMI out. At the same time loop out the original 4k HDMI signal to 4k SDI out?

A: Yes, you will be able to receive and send a 4K SDI signal and also send a 1080p HDMI signal.

Q: 7. So for BM Studio 4k Pro Cam, do I just need this, fiber cable, and 12G SFP Optical Module to get to ATEM Switcher?

A: The Blackmagic Design Mini Converter Optical Fiber 12G-SDI is a bi-directional optical fiber to 12G SDI signal convertor. So if you are planning on outputting an SDI signal from the BM Studio 4k Pro and converting it to fiber this convertor would work well, however you would also need an SFP adapter such as the Blackmagic Design 12G SFP Optical Module Adapter, and SFP receiver on the receiving end of the signal as well.

Q: 8. Can this scale an HDMI in to HDMI out? (With no SDI connections) We need to go from 1080p60 HDMI to 2160p29.97 HDMI.

A: The Decimator 12G-CROSS 4K HDMI/SDI Cross Converter with Scaling and Frame Rate Conversion, is able to convert any SMPTE formats from HDMI to HDMI or SDI output, and can convert an input of 1080p60 through HDMI to an output of 2160p29.97 HDMI.
