Q: 1. Guessing this card will not work in a Mac Pro Tower?

A: No, this card is only Windows compatible. We have a card from Sonnet which you can see at https://a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1143180-REG target= _blank www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1143180-REG/aThis is Mac Pro compatible from OSX 10.8.5 and up.

Q: 2. What 1/4" tripod or cold shoe mount would you recommend for this product for taking on the rode? ;)

A: The Rode AI-Micro Ultracompact 2x2 USB Type-C Audio Interface does not have any mounting points to attach, just the 3.5mm and USB connections. Depending on how the AI-Micro is being used, you may be able to mount the device that you are using to record onto a tripod or cold shoe. The AI-Micro can hang freely from the cable used to connect it to the recording device. If you do need to use a tripod or cold shoe, you could use a mini clamp such as the 9.SOLUTIONS Savior Spring Clamp Mini (B&H # 9S9VB5100) to hold the AI-Micro. This particular mini clamp has 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 female mounting points which can be used to mount it on a tripod or stand. The Revo Hot Shoe to 1/4"-20 Male Post Adapter (B&H # RESACS14M) can be used to mount the clamp on a cold shoe.

Q: 3. will this work with Windows 7 64b ?

A: The StarTech 4-Port SuperSpeed USB 3.0 PCIe Card with SATA Power Connector & UASP is compatible with Windows 7.

Q: 4. Will this SIIG USB 3.0 adapter card fully plug-n-play with a Win7/64-bit computer, meaning I wouldn't have to install a driver from either a CD that came with it or be forced to go find it somewhere on the Internet?

A: Windows 7 should be able to recognize and install the missing driver. It worked for me without any issues.

Q: 5. Can I use this on a smartphone to listen to in-call audio on the headphone output and input audio from a small shotgun mic?

A: With an app yes you should.

Q: 6. Will input gains set in the Rode app be retained in FiLMiC Pro or other video apps?

Q: 7. Would like to have a tether cable for a Sony A7rII but the connection doesn't match the ports of the a7rII ?

A: The Sony A7rII uses the TetherPro USB 2.0 A Male to Micro-B 5 Pin. a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1108462-REG/tether_tools_cu5430org_tetherpro_usb_2_0_a.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1108462-REG/tether_tools_cu5430org_tetherpro_usb_2_0_a.html/a

Q: 8. Is this compatible with OS X Sierra (v 10.12)?

A: I would guess not. Not only is it unlikely ant 10.12 compatable hardware has standard PCI ports, the manufacturer has a poor record with drivers. I was not able to get this device to work on any of my supposidly compatable computers.

Q: 9. Will this work with a Canon EOS M-50?

Q: 10. Can i connect 2 Rode wireless go 2? I need 4 Mics

A: The best way to do that would be to connect (2) Rode Go II receivers, directly to each of the USB-C ports on your laptop and the Rode Connect App will allow you to control all 4 mic channels separately. You will also be able to provide compression as needed to each channel, as well as Rode's Aural Exciter and some other features. The best way to use (4) mics with the Rode AI-Micro, would be to use (2) AI-Micros connected to each of the USB-C inputs on your computer and you would have 1 mic connected to each of the 4 inputs. Rode Connect App will allow you to control those 4 mics separately.
