Expand your business's network with the Pro Max 24-Port 2.5G / 1G Managed Network Switch from Ubiquiti Networks to support additional computers, servers, and other compatible devices. Eight 2.5G Ethernet ports and sixteen 1G ports are available with Etherlighting technology illuminating each of them to indicate their location, speed/link status, and native VLAN/network configurations when used with compatible cables. Two SFP+ ports are also available for up to 10 Gb/s uplinks.

A 1.3" touchscreen display provides important status information at a glance. Supporting a 112 Gb/s (56 Gb/s non-blocking) switching capacity and Layer 3 features, the Pro Max 48 delivers smooth data transfers. Its settings may be managed through the UniFi Network platform.

A: It may get through a few trees, but I would not recommend No Line of Sight. Near Line of Sight may be problematic.

A: The Ubiquiti Networks ER-4 3-Port EdgeRouter can work with any network switch.

A: To configure this as a PTP (Point to Point) system, you will need another Ubiquiti Networks airFiber 24 GHz Carrier Class Point-to-Point Gigabit Radio.

Q: 7. For new home, is Dream Machine Pro simple enough to set up to provide network security for house?

A: The Ubiquiti Networks UniFi Dream Machine Pro is intended only for advanced users, as support and documentation will be limited and users are expected to already have a good comprehension of Ubiquiti systems and networking. It would be considered overkill for residential use in most cases.

A: This unit is not capable of reserving 5K ip addresses.

Q: 10. What is the power of the included POE injector like is it BT or AF?

A: This would be BT due to the 60w required for the power adapter.

This switch is small, and the best feature is that it can be powered either by POE or USB C and I used the POE power. This switch quickly adopted into my Unifi system, and it just works. If you only have one ethernet port and you find you need more connections (like behind a TV) use this switch and powered via POE and plug in your TV, PS2 or PlayStation or other devices. I have two printers and only one ethernet drop at the location in my house, so I used the POE to power the switch and used 2 cables from the printers to the switch and it works great. 5

I love that they can be powered by PoE, are fully managed, and adopt into the UniFi ecosystem. I have 4 of them on my network now. Great when you need 2 or 3 drops in a bedroom, but only have 1 CAT cable going there. Kids room, no problem... lock all the ports to the kids VLAN and they can plug in whatever they want... you've got complete control at a terrific price! 5
