A: I honestly wouldn't recommend the 20L for all that gear at once. I would be more comfortable going to the 30L since you'll have more volume.

Q: 5. I have a 13 in M1 MBP, and have heard that the new M1 laptops have issues with turning on when in the laptop sleeve due to the magnets in the bag (used to keep the shoulder straps attached). Is this really an issue, or will the M1 MacBooks have no problem with the magnets in the back of the bag?

A: I have not personally heard of these issues, and we pack many with all shapes and sizes of bags. I would fully power off the machine before placing it into the bag however to reduce heat.

A: The side entries are very convenient and practical to use, just slide the bag around to the side or front and access the gear, very easy.

A: Different airlines have different requirements, however, based on the 'universal requirements' of 18 x 14 x 8 inches, the Peak Design Everyday Backpack v2 (Midnight, 30L) is too big to be an under the seat item.
