The Tiffen 5 x 6" 1 Grape Soft-Edge Graduated Filter helps to specifically add a cool, purplish coloration to skies and other bright areas of an image while allowing a portion of the image to remain neutrally colored. The filter's coloring is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged transition between the density and clear areas. The 1 color density provides less grape coloration than the 2 density filter.

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 5 x 6" / 127 x 152.4mm.

Note: A horizontal orientation filter's line of transition runs parallel to the long side of the filter.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this filter fit on the SONY Fe 24-70mm GM ii?

A: Yes, the Cokin P-Sized Soft-Edge Graduated ND Filter Kit (84 x 100mm) is compatible with the Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II Lens (Sony E), BH #SO247028GM2, so long as you get the Cokin P Series Filter Holder Adapter Ring (82mm), BH #COARP82, to mount the filter holder to the lens.

Q: 2. Will this filter fit properly with my NISI 150 holder system I just bought for my Nikon 14-24? Does the filter slide reasonably well in the holder?

A: Yes it will fit. Thank you.

Q: 3. Will this fit into the Nisi V5 Pro filter holder?

A: This Lee filter can work with the Nisi V5 Pro Holder.

Q: 4. Can we use this filter along big 10 stopper?

A: I only have this filter so I have not experience using big 10 stopper or any other filter.

Q: 5. Does this fit the Lee SW150 filter holder?

A: Yes, it will. But, you need to keep in mind this product is designed to split the ND/non-ND parts vertically. Under normal use, the ND portion would be placed over sky while the clear portion covers the landscape. Using this filter with the SW150 holder would result in the ND/non-ND portions split left-right horizontally instead of vertically.

Q: 6. Can there filters be used in a Lee 100 filter holder?

A: Yes they can.

Q: 7. I have a Nikon d300 and a Nikon 35mm 1.8mm 52mm filter would this work with this

A: Yes it will work, but you need to buy the 52mm adapter ring to fit the Cokon filter.

Q: 8. Would this fit over an 18-135mm lense?

A: You need a filter holder (i.e. Hitech 85 mm) and then an appropriate adapter ring to fit the filter threads on your lense. I've used this set-up on lense filter sizes ranging from 49-62 mm

Q: 9. Hello. I use a tamron 24-70mm and sigma 50mm. What will i need to make this work on those lenses? Anything special that isnt included in the kit or maybe a differemt kit altogether?

A: You will need the ring that the holder sits on. The Beauty is that the holder fits any lens with the proper ring. Depending on the mm o your lens you will need a ring. You can purchase step up rings fairly inexpensive on the web.

Q: 10. what are filter holder adapters? How do they work?

A: The Lee filter Foundation Kit is a filter holder, which allows the rectangular or square filters to slide in and out easily. In order to attach the filter holder to a lens you must ALSO purchase an adaptor ring. The most common is the LEE Filters Adapter Ring - 77mm. The reason that this is the most common is that most professional lenses have 77mm filter threads. After you screw on the adaptor ring onto the lens, the filter holder clips onto the ring.Photographers purchase an adaptor ring that matches the size of their lens with the largest front filter threads. If you also have lenses with smaller front filter threads, you purchase a step-up ring for each of those lenses. For example, if you have a lens with front filter threads of 52mm, you purchase an inexpensive 52-77mm step-up ring and leave in on your camera so that it's ready for the Lee Filter system. Probably a good idea to purchase a 77mm lens cap, since the 52mm lens cap no longer fits. Step-up filters are very inexpensive, as are generic lens caps. The generic caps are just as sturdy as those that are included with Nikon and Canon lenses.
