A: Due to the difference in the size of the MX185 capsule from the Rode Lavalier mic and Smartlav+, it seems that the Rode LAVHS-LRG Headset Mount would not support the MX185 capsule.

Q: 2. Fit Audio Technica 831?

A: The Rycote Furry Windjammer is recommended for your Audio Technica 831. It fits over the foam so it should be fine.

Q: 3. Does this fit the MM-MSLM Microphone Madness lav without the foam? I lost mine at a gig.

A: Hi Adrian. This is not a mic we have tested with our Lavalier Windjammers here at Rycote HQ, but based on the capsule measurements I believe it will work. Note that you will need to use the supplied foam inserts to securely hold the capsule inside the Windjammer (these ship inside the packets). I hope that helps!

Q: 4. Can this windjammer be used with a Sennheiser mke 40?

A: Even though the MKE40 is a larger diameter lapel than the microphones the jammer is design to be used with,the elastic opening of the jammer is quite liberal and would go over the 40.

A: The MINIFUR-LAV by Rode is only a windshield. No mic included. The Rode Lav however which is pictured for reference, features a proprietary connector that allows you to choose the proper connection for a particular transmitter or application. Q: 7. Can this windjammer be used with a Sennheiser ME-2 lav mic? That lav mic is not listed on the compatible list.

A: Yes! The foam inserts don't fit on the mic but it's big enough that the elastic on the windjammer will slip over the element and stay there.

A: Yes, the Rycote Lavalier Windjammer (Black, Single) is compatible with Countryman's B3, B6, and EMW lavalier microphones.

Q: 9. description says this is for Rode lavs -- are these also compatible with other brands?

A: They will fit sennheiser lavs if you remove the inner of two rubber rings. Nice snug fit.
