A: The only difference between the older (now discontinued) Elinchrom Rotalux Softbox Octa (53 ), B&H # ELSBRJO53, and the current Elinchrom Rotalux Octabox (135cm / 53 ), B&H # EL26647, is the original softbox included the Elinchrom speedring which was only compatible with Elinchrom strobes. The current softbox does not include a speedring. As such, you must purchase the speedring separately, but Elinchrom manufactures speedrings for multiple brands which may all use the above softbox.
