This camera is what I’ve been waiting for since I owned the A7s2! It’s unbelievable and has helped my business through this rough time of corona virus! It puts out the highest quality video and can pretty much see in the dark! If someone wants a camera like this please ask for mine lol!

Great C-AF. IBIS with active stabilization allows me to get shots hand held that I wasn’t able to on previous model. With a wide lens and good technique I am able to get establishing shots with smooth motion simply by taking a giant slow step forward.

Great customization options. The only thing that it is lacking is the ability to punch into super 35 mode in 4k. That is the only step back from other models.

If this has built in E-ND filter that would be my dream camera, but we don’t live in a dream. This is a fantastic camera and I love it.

For my purposes, this camera is as close to perfection as I can get. I can't think of much that I wish for that isn't on this camera. Am pondering getting a second one!

I gave up my Lumix S1H for this - and it was, for me, the absolute best decision. The autofocus capabilities are critical for my use and this is about as good as it can currently get. Plus, build quality, menu system, low light performance, choice of codecs - on and on - make this a great choice. Most importantly - it's simply a pleasure to use. This isn't a camera I have to fight. It feels almost intuitive and simply allows me the shortest distance between what I'm thinking and what I'm shooting. And its size and weight are also amazing considering its pro-level capabilities across the board. I'm loving this camera.

Sony fixed so many little nuances with this camera. Finally the 10bit color makes this camera so much more versatile. The auto-focus is killer! Overall I think this is much more than a prosumer camera now.

As a full time video profession I’ve been waiting for this camera for years!! After shooting Canon for over 10 years it was the original a7s that pulled me in to the Sony world and I haven’t looked back.



No longer do I have to depend on a large shoulder cam for 10 bit color. The quality it captures when shooting in slog-3 10 bit 422 all-I  and it’s dynamic range in such a small package is a game changer for me.  It makes my job so much easier to be quick and nimble in run and gun situations. 



The new active stabilization combined with the internal ibis makes shooting handheld a breeze, and if I really want stable handles shots I deactivate all internal stabilization and use Sony’s catalyst application to take advantage of the a7siii’s gyro sensor information.



Do I really  even need to mention it’s low light capability???





 The a7siii is without a doubt in a league of it’s own.

Wonderful Camera. The 10bit color is so so much better than the a7iii I previously shot on. So much room for editing! the slightly bigger body feels great. Tight camera strap rings so there's no jingle in the audio for video. Improved camera overall! Will be my new main shooter!

Well, it finally happened. Sony finally made a camera so good in low-light that I can just forget the word ISO forever. It's no longer an exposure triangle, now it's just an exposure line because the a7Siii looks so good at every ISO that it almost doesn't need to be part of your workflow anymore.


Beyond that, this camera is absolutely dripping with upgrades. 4k/120p video (at 10-bit 4:2:2, nonetheless), 1080/240p, and for the first time external 16-bit RAW. I personally love the new menu system (holding tight for a firmware update to bring this menu to my other camera bodies), redesigned ergonomics and the new location of the video record button.


The new 9.44M dot OLED electronic viewfinder (EVF) is spectacular. Four times the resolution of the preview a7S model and 27% more resolution than the a9ii. The back screen FINALLY flips out and allows for a significant increase in functionality and therefore comfortable shooting angles.


Honestly there's 100 things about this camera that I just absolutely love, but it's probably too much to type into a silly B&H review. All I can tell you is that I absolutely love it. I can record video in nearly pitch-black conditions and framerates and bitrates never before seen in a Sony hybrid body.

I used the A7Sii up until A7siii came to my door. Everything is great. The active stabilizer is more handy than I thought it would be. The codecs are amazing. The frame rates are amazing. The pro res raw external out is amazing. All in such a small camera. It helps me get the shots in the quality I like without breaking my back using a larger camera and gimbal.
