A: I'm on my second TC-80N3, the first one I had stopped working (it wasn't abused) after 4 years of use. So, I'm not sure it's any more/less durable than other offerings such as the Vello. As far as features go, the TC-80N3 has let me do anything I wanted to with respect to the timing of exposures (very long are possible) and sequences (timing between exposures, number of exposures or continuous). When I discovered my first TC-80N3 was broken, it was just before a major photo vacation, and I didn't want to risk difficulties related to unfamiliarity of operating something new to me in the field (I did a lot of night shots, didn't want to be reading a user manual in the dark), so I stayed with the Canon offering.
