The 67mm M2 Magnetic Quick Swap Circular Polarizer Filter from Freewell offers the usual benefits of a polarizing filter with the convenience of their magnetic quick-swapping system. Once the magnetic frame is screwed on to the front of your lens, different filters can be attached, removed, or swapped out quickly and conveniently. The selective control offered by the CPL lets you effectively eliminate reflections in surfaces like glass, metal, or the surface of water by simply rotating the filter. This allows you to simultaneously preserve detail and color saturation in your images as well. The German optical glass construction and multilayer coating make the filter scratch and oil resistant as well as water and dustproof. The included pouch and lens cap help you further protect your filter when shooting on the go and switching between filters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Description says "water-resistant". How water-resistant is the dial that you turn to rotate the circular polarizer? Usable in rain?

A: The Canon Drop-In Filter Mount Adapter EF-EOS R with Circular Polarizer Filter is useable in a light to medium rain.

Q: 2. Can you buy a drop in ND filter in addition to the polarized filter with buying a separate adapter?

A: Yes, you can purchase an nd filter separately but they are pricey, click the link below to view; https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1434113-REG/canon_3446c001_drop_in_variable_nd_filter.html/accessories

Q: 3. Is there a filter adapter for use with the RF lenses? Or does this allow both EF and RF lenses?

A: No there is no RF to RF adapter

Q: 4. What is the actual diameter of the filters, and are they smooth or notched or threaded? I would really like to install narrowband 2-inch astrononomy filters.

A: Compatible filters are in a proprietary mount and no diameter size is given. There is no accommodation for any non-proprietary filters using this filter holder.

Q: 5. Is this compatible with the NiSi 46mm Natural Night Filter?

A: Yes, the Sigma Filter Holder with WR Circular Polarizer RCP-11 Drop-In Filter would be compatible with the NiSi 46mm Natural Night Filter.

Q: 6. Will this work with full frame cameras, specifically red v raptor?

A: The Canon Drop-In Filter Mount Adapter EF-EOS R with Circular Polarizer Filter is designed for Canon RF cameras with a full-frame (36x24mm) sensor. The sensor of the Red V-Raptor is 40.96x21mm, so it may not fully cover the sensor when shooting 8K.

Q: 7. The drop-in polarizing comes with the polarizing filterbut do I have to buy a clear filter separately if I want to photograph without a polarizer? Or can I just remove the glass from the holder? Meaning I can't just take the whole thing out and have an open slot in the adapter, right?

A: You would have to purchase the clear drop in filter and use in place of the polarizer. Click the link below to view; https://bhpho.to/2YSbEQ8

Q: 8. How much light do you loose with the polarizer set at its minimum setting?

A: You lose about 3/4 of a stop at its minimum setting.

Q: 9. I am more concerning the image quality and autofocus speed when using polarizer filter. Does it degrade the image quality of the captured image? Does it slow down the autofocus speed at all?

A: It works well , does not change the auto focus speed and does not degrade the image quality

Q: 10. The directions for the adapter say it has to be removed from the camera before I can change lenses. Why? It seems that it would be easier to leave the adapter on the camera and just change the lens attached to the adapter.

A: We recommend always following manufacturer's instructions, even when their reasoning might not be clear.
