Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this fit a 3 mm thick filter that is 101 mm x 143 mm?

A: No, it just fit, except you cut the filter.

Q: 2. Will this holder vignette @ 10mm focal length on a Sigma 10-20mm Lens with a 77mm thread?

A: As long as you use the LEE Filters Adapter Ring - 77mm - for Wide Angle Lenses (B&H # LEARWA77), you shouldn't experience vignetting at 10mm with the 10-20mm lens.

Q: 3. Will this adapter work with the 100mm Format Hitech filters?

A: I believe the adapter will work with any 100mm filter as long as the filter is made of rigid material and not a thin film.

Q: 4. Can I use Cokin Z Pro filters with the Lee Foundation kit?

A: The quick answer is yes, the Cokin filters will fit in the Lee Foundation Kit.

Q: 5. If I get this kit and a 77mm adapter can I use a polarizing filter as well as ND filter like the little stopper ? which polarizing filter would work? Does it matter if you use the wide angle 77mm adaptor? I have a Canon 24-105mm lens and a Canon 300mm prime.

A: You need the 105mm Polarizing Lee Filter .... and both the ND Filter and the 105mm Polarizing Lee Filter can be used simultaneously with the Foundation Kit (and the Wide Angle 77mm adapter that fit with your lens opening). I got the answer from my friend Maurice who experimented the kit more than me.

Q: 6. Will this filter holder work with my Nikon 14-24mm lens with no cut-off? Thanks.

A: Youll need the Lee SW150 holder for your 14-24 mm lens. Many have opted for the 16-35 mm lens because the Lee 100 holder works fine with it.

Q: 7. What is the largest lens diameter this filter holder can hold?

A: The largest lens diameter is 112mm, which the adapter ring can be found at the following link: http://bhpho.to/1qnBILj

Q: 8. I have a Canon 17-40 f/4L with a 77mm lens diameter. If I get a 77mm LEE Adapter ring + this LEE Filter Holder I will be good to go? (obviously I will have to get the filters themselves as well).

A: Yes mate. You will be

Q: 9. Thinking of using this holder (and associated filters) on the recently released Sony FE PZ 28-135 mm f/4 G OSS lens for video. It has 95mm diameter. Has someone tried this setup? Any forseable problems (vignetting, etc)?

A: No, you will get vignette with the Lee Filters foundation holder. That lens can use round filters that have a 95mm filter thread. If you want to use rectangle filters with that lens you need to use a matte box that has a filter holder. The box needs the ability to work with lenses that are at least 102mm in diameter. Most matte boxes use 15mm rods so best is for you to come in to chat or call to discuss what you need specifically.

Q: 10. Hello, I am looking at this holder. I currently use the Conkin Z series with the Canon 16-35 f2.8 on a Mkiii, which is a 82mm thread. With the conkin I'm having issues with see the side of the holder from 16 to about 20-21mm. Will this holder alleviate that issue allowing me to shoot at 16mm without issue?

A: I'm using it with a Nikon 16-35mm lens with a 77mm thread and have no issues with vignetting at 16mm.
