Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this hold a Nikon z9 attached to a z 800mm f6.3 VR S?

A: No the Think Tank Photo Airport International V3.0 Carry On (Black) is not tall enough. The z9 wiht the lens attaches is approxemelty 19 inches. And the case interior is 18.5 inches.

Q: 2. The Think Tank website shows this bag as 22" high without the wheels. Is that correct or does that measurement include wheels?

A: The dimensions of the Think Tank Photo Airport Roller Derby Rolling Carry-On Camera Bag are14 x 22 x9", which does not include the wheels.

Q: 3. will a professional DLSR camera fit in this bag with the vertical grip attached?

A: Easily!!

Q: 4. Hello Everyone,Does anybody know if the laptop compartment would fit a Mac Book Pro (15.4 size) Late 2015, thanks for the response.

A: Yes, it fits my Mac Book Pro 15 Mid 2015. But it is hard to squeeze in if you already have the Mac Book in a padded case. You have to put it in by itself.

Q: 5. I have a video tripod( 34inch folded) and I would like to attach to RD. Does Think Tank offer a compatible tripod cup holder?

A: There is no compatible tripod cup holder for the Think Tank Photo Airport Roller Derby Rolling Carry-On Camera Bag.

Q: 6. Do you recomend this bag for safari? And small planes ?

A: Although this bag is nice, it is also pretty heavy empty. It was bigger than I thought and I ended up not traveling with it. I think it might be a little large for small planes. I ended up putting my camera equipment in a back pack and carrying it on the plane.

Q: 7. Are think tank wheels replaceable??

A: Yes they are!! I had one wheel crack (they're well designed, dual wheels, if one breaks there's still another there) and ThinkTank sent me out a replacement as soon as I contacted them! Great customer service!!

Q: 8. Can I use this with my Fuji GFX 50R?

A: Yes a Fuji GFX 50R is able to fit in this case.

Q: 9. Will it fit in overhead compartments of smaller regional jets?

A: No, but fits some space under the seat infront of you. The problem is they will ask you to gate check regardless, if you really don't want to separate from your equipment, here is a trick: Before gate check, take all your stuff and put it in a soft bag. That will fit in any overhead. When you arrive, put your stuff back to your roller. A soft bag like the cheap blue ones from IKEA works great. It folds very flat and I always have one tucked in the roller when ever I have to fly. It's a pain but takes me 45 seconds to transfer equipment back and forth. Gives me peace of mind and the equipment always stays with me. I never have to fight with the airline agent and the are happy to take care your empty roller.

Q: 10. Will the laptop compartment fit a MacBook Pro 16"?

A: Its able to fit a MacBook Pro 16'' with a size of 14x9''.7x0''.66''

I bought this bag as a photographer in NY. I shoot on many locations in the city. The wheels make it easy to travel on the pavement, and the trains in the city. The space in the bag hold as much equipment as I need. Right now one DSLR Body,2 SB910s, 70-200mm Lens, a 28-300mm lens. and there is space for more.

I keep buying from B&H as everyone is great to work with, knowledgeable about products, and very helpful. My new Airport Roller Derby Rolling Carry-On Camera Bag is the best. Sturdy, durable, and rollers are heave duty. I have several camera roller bags, but this Think Tank bag is off the chain. Dw

I've had my Airport Roller Derby now for almost two years and I have to tell you, it has passed the test of time. Others have mentioned all of the gear that fits into this roller so I'll not repeat except to say it holds a lot more than you'd think by looking at the interior. This roller is top notch quality as you'd expect and most important, the roller wheels are superb which is a must for a roller case holding heavy equipment. Think Tank means quality.
