  A: Good for looking at the moon and to identify planet locations using Sky charts. You need Telescope to vue the rings of Saturn in detail. or the moons of other planets.

  Q: 6. Lens caps? The older model had an eyepiece lens cap on a string and an objective cap on a hinge. What does the current model have for caps, if any?

  A: The setup on the lens cap on the newer model is the same with the hinge cap on the object lens and the removable cap on the eyepiece lens (with string).

  A: Sorry about the delay in answering. I am just back from travelling the antarctic which is why I bought this. It has excellent optics but not recommended for night vision even though I have used in twilight conditions.

  A: The Nikon 10x42 Monarch HG Binoculars doe not have an image stabilizer. Nikon does not currently offer that feature in any of their binoculars.
