Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this converter also charge gold mount batteries on a V-lock battery charger?

A: Shape only lists this adapter as capable of working on cameras and lights, not for charging a battery. It is not something we can recommend trying as it may not work properly.

Q: 2. Can you disable the spotlight function button?

A: No you can not.

Q: 3. I'm thinking of using this as a third podcasting camera linked to a switcher. Doable? Also, is there any way to use it as a dashcam with power from what they used to call cigarrette lighter?

A: The IDOLCAM does have a mini-HDMI output that can connect to a switcher in a multi-camera setup. While the camera can be mounted on a dashboard, the camera cannot be connected to a cars accessory power port for continuous power. The camera can only be powered by the included battery, and charged via USB in the camera when not recording.

Q: 4. I'm trying to keep my JVC GY-LS300 going. Will this plate work with my camera?

A: The Anton/Bauer Gold Mount for JVC Camcorders will not work for powering the JVC GY-LS300. This adapter is for larger JVC shoulder mounted ENG cameras.

Q: 5. Does this remote make a "clicking noise" when pressed?

A: There is a slight mechanical click when any of the buttons are depressed, but not a sound through the computer. If you are running a Powerpoint presentation and hear a "clicking noise" from the computer speakers or connected AV system speakers as you advance slides with the remote, check to see if the sound is also heard when slides are advanced using the mouse or keyboard arrows. If so, please check the slide "Transitions" settings in the Powerpoint file. A "Sound" may have been set up for some or all slide changes.

Q: 6. The specs say 101.6 x 101.6 mm. Will these fit in a 100mm filter holder?

A: Yes, these will fit in a 100mm filter holder.

Q: 7. Can it work with photo moonlight flashes

A: Yes. The following inverter will provide sufficient power depending on which battery being used will determine run-time.

Q: 8. What's the interface type for the charging cable? USB-A to USB-C or micro USB?

A: Proprietary USB Receiver and cable.

Q: 9. Can one use this to charge v-mount batteries on a gold-mount charger?

A: Yes, the SHAPE V-Mount to Gold Mount Regulated Battery Converter can be used to charge a V-Mount battery of a gold mount charger. Just make sure it is compatible to be charged on said charger.

Q: 10. What to do when it can no longer be charged after not being used for a while (warranty expired already, no help from Logitech)?

A: For the Logitech Spotlight Presentation Remote (Slate) BH #LOSLURCSLT it would have a non-user replaceable built in battery.

Great camera, especially for those who have little formal education in photography. The exposure are excellent. Focusing capabilities are fantastic. The zoom feature, even in low light conditions, is exceptional.

Sometimes I just don't want to haul the high end camera stuff. I bought this as a camera to almways have in my pocket. It shoots nice stills and 720p video. Have used it several times to get shots that I would have missed.

I use my camera to capture the beauty of nature. I like to print large prints. This camera suits me fine. It's my third power shot. My G-9 was excellent but broke twice. Only disappointing feature on the SX 210 is the size of the monitor screen. In fact it is very deceptive. The screen is large but the photo display does not fill the screen. Otherwise this is a Power Shot on steroids! And it fits in my shirt pocket.

This camera is very good en friendly use. The stark 10 optical zoom is perfect. My friends saw the photo's and they were in extase of the very good quality and sharpness and colors. I am very glad with this nice and good camera.

Great: 14x zoom that fits into your pocket. For years, I've been carrying around a camera 3 times the size and weight to have a long zoom. The Ergonomics are fine. Just hold the camera with your thumb on the bottom and your index finger across the groove on the top; in this position the little zoom lever is convenient.

Just upgraded from my Canon SD1000 to the SX210, and am very happy with my choice.Going on vacation, I wanted to be able to shoot video and was going to buy an inexpensive HD camcorder, but when I saw the quality of the video from the SX210, I figured I could have both excellent quality stills and video in a tiny portable package for the same price as a camcorder that gives lousy stills.Compared the SX210 to the Sony HX5 and the Panasonic ZX5 and thought the image quality was far superior on the Canon. I'm a video producer and spend a lot of time looking at monitors and viewfinders, and my impression is that the Canon's images are more film-like with wider contrast and good color saturation. The Panasonic and Sony cameras, while they give excellent, sharp images, look a little too electronic for me.The Panoramic feature on the Sony was excellent, and the GPS implementation on the Panasonic was well thought out, but I just like the Canon images better....Don't forget to get yourself a few extra batteries and SD cards - the Transcend 16GB is dirt cheap and Class 6.Didn't load the Canon software onto my PC - I can view videos & stills without it (in Win 7), so I don't need their Multi million megabytes of disk hogging features.
