Q: 1. Does the Lens 24-70mm fit a Canon 50D camera ?

A: Short answer - Yes it does. I've been using my lens on a EOS 60D which is the replacement for the 50D. Every EF series lens will fit any EOS camera (film or Digital) made from about 1987. The EF-S series lens will only work on the APS-C sensor cameras but the EF series will work with APS-C, Film or Full Frame digital sensor cameras.

Q: 2. Is this lens better for sports or weddings

A: I use this as my everyday lens both on my 7D & 6D. Most certainly you can use for sports especially the 7D but I would prefer my 70/200 2.8 for that purpose. I don't shoot weddings but if I did, it would be in the bag. My want to consider the 2.8 24-70 for weddings but it does carry a heavier price tag and is larger in size and weight.

Q: 3. Would this work on the canon t5????

A: It's a 18-135 STM, not 255.

Q: 4. Would this lens fit a 15 year old Canon Rebel digital SLR, fully manual camera? I don't know the model off hand.

A: Unfortunately, no it is not internal. Regardless, it is a great lens to shoot with. Only minor zoom creep.

Q: 8. Will this lens fit my EOS 500D?

A: I tried to use EF 24-70 f/4L on my 7D. 500D is a EF/EFS mount camera, fits EF 24-70 f/4L lens. Please verify on internet.

Q: 9. The rubber zoom grip is loose/stretched on mine. What is the model number to replace it? With the rubber grip from f/2.8 fit this one? Thank you.

A: The replacement rubber is not sold separately. Your best option is to contact Canon and send the lens in for authorized repair.

A: I'm sorry but this question really dose not make any sense ..The 24-70mm f4. is a very good lens. However, between the time (last year) and the middle of summer this year, I traded the f4 in for a Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM Lens. The f/2.8 lens really pops . I use this lens on both my Canon 6D and Canon 5D Mark III. Outstanding results....!!!

The RF version of the Canon 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM Lens is even better than the original DSLR version. Lighter, Shorter, and Sharper. If I could have only one lens, the Canon 24-105mm f/4 L would be my first choice and has been for over 15 years. Very well suited to my shooting style. There has to be a very good reason for me to use any other lens. 5

I had just replaced my Canon 70D with a Mirrorless R camera, and wanted a walk-a-round less that took best advantage of the full frame capability of the R. I was not at all disappointed! The lens is a bit narrower than the 18-135 it was replacing, but I haven't even noticed a difference in everyday use. The images it produces are very sharp and full of color. The body of the lens is exceptionally robust and the extension/retraction of the barrel is firm and smooth. Focusing is very quick and quiet. I've yet to run into an everyday situation where I don't have enough reach, or can focus on relatively close objects, so I'm very happy with my decision and don't regret the expense at all. 5

When I first used this lens, I was confused about the focus. I could not hear a sound nor see the focus ring moving. I had to take several pictures, far and close, to make sure the automatic focus was working. Later on, I read Canon's manual, The lens' focusing ring is electronic, which I concluded means that it is not mechanical; hence it won't move when using automatic focus. Other than that initial confusion, the lens' performance is terrific, as expected. 5

I been through two of these in the EF version from the original 5D through the 5DSR. Its real workhorse lens that was always in my bag no matter what I was shooting. I use other EF L glass via adapters very happily on an R5. But for some reason not the EF 24-105. I sold my last EF version of his lens. After about a year of working without it I had to add the RF version back to my bag. Why did I wait so long?? I'm very happy with other RF glass I have that falls somewhere in the 24-105 range. I have the 35mm f/1.8, 85mm f/2.0 and the 24-240mm. I like and will keep all of those lenses for special tasks where they excel, but this RF 24-105 will have a full time place in my bag for a long time... its a new version of my old reliable. 5
