Q: 1. Does the image stabilizer on this lens work when shooting video or is it just for photography?

A: Works equally well for photo as for video

Q: 2. will this fit a nikon d90 ?

A: The LensCoat BodyGuard M CB Clear Back Camera Cover (Black) will not fit a Nikon D90 DSLR Camera.

Q: 3. Hi! I have a Canon Rebel T3i and I'm wanting a wide angle lens for portraits and weddings. I'm sick of having to stand way back and still only getting a portion of my subject in the photo! Any suggestions for me? Thanks!

A: You have a crop body...1.6x crop...so the Field of View using a 24-70 lens is 38.4 to 112mm...Let me caution you....for group pictures...sometimes 38.4mm is not wide enough....This is what I usually see with wedding photographers...one to 2 bodies....with 3 lenses available....for FF, it's 16-35 (for group images), 24-70, and 70-200....for crop bodies, it's EF-S 10-22 (for group images), 24-70, and 70-200....In some weddings flash is not allowed in the church....so you have to bump up your ISO....higher ISO, more noise....thankfully there are excellent NR software around.... I hope that answers your question....More...for model shoots....I use a minimum 50mm for FF, 35mm for crop....the wider your lens the more distortion you introduce...

Q: 4. Is this lens Parfocal?

A: No. I'm not aware of any lenses with f-stops that are parfocal. In order to get a parfocal lens, you'll want to look into Cinema lenses which use t-stops. They're typically parfocal.

Q: 5. How does this compare to the 2.8? Mostly using it for strobed product shots

A: This lens is perfect for product photos. You do not need a 2.8 lens for that type of photos. If you are shooting hand held I suggest you purchase the Image stabilized lens. I use this lens for 90% of my work. Excellent lens, extremely sharp at any F-stop. I highly recommend this lens.

Q: 6. I had Canon D50 , it fix the lens 24-70mm .Yes or not ?

A: I'm sorry but this question really dose not make any sense ..The 24-70mm f4. is a very good lens. However, between the time (last year) and the middle of summer this year, I traded the f4 in for a Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM Lens. The f/2.8 lens really pops . I use this lens on both my Canon 6D and Canon 5D Mark III. Outstanding results....!!!

Q: 7. Is this lens compatible with the Canon 7D?

A: Yes it is. The Canon EOS 7D camera is compatible with any autofocus lenses made by Canon of for the EOS system by other manufacturers.

Q: 9. will this fit a nikon z8?

A: Unfortunately, the LensCoat BodyGuard M CB Clear Back Camera Cover (Black) is too small for the Nikon Z8.
