Q: 1. Does this have a waveform function? Will it show refresh rates?

A: you would be best served with the DELVCAM DELV-WFORM-7SDI monitor , or the DELV-HD7-HSC for waveform.There is no on screen display for refresh rates, only frame rate and resolutions

Q: 2. Can I use it on the BlackMagic Production 4K with the SDI in?

A: Yes, I use it with my BlackMagic Production 4K all the time. The only issue I've found is that the framerate has to be 23.98. If you try to use it at 30p, the monitor will show a noisy, distorted image.

Q: 3. I have 4 cameras. Two are HD-SDI and two are composite video. Can I attach all four cameras and toggle back and fourth between the inputs? One camera of each type would be connected to each side of the unit

A: Yes, you would be able to do that, but only if one SDI and one composite camera are connected to the corresponding inputs per single monitor. There are only one SDI and one composite input per side.

Q: 4. Will this unit pass through embedded audio on SDI signal?

A: Yes it Will.

Q: 5. Why will this unit not show a composite feed picture ?... but it does show with the HDMI.

A: This monitor has several excellent features but does not have zebra. That would be because it has a feature that is newer and far more useful for determining proper exposure: False Color. This method tells you by color alone where your exposure for the shot lies. A: I haven't tried it, but I doubt it would work.

Q: 8. does this have a ptap female connection port on the side?

A: Yes this plate does have a PTAP port on the side of it.

Q: 9. Do both ends pivot? In other words, does the quarter inch screw part of the arm have to stick out parallel/in-line with the arm, or can it swivel around similar to how a tri-pod fluid head can rotate and turn around? Thank you so much for any help!

A: Yes. When you loosen the knob, everything loosens up, including the screws. It is quite flexible. FYI - we also own the Ikan version of this unit, and for a few more $ it is better built, I think. One of our Delvs broke; our Ikans seem to be holding up better.

Q: 10. if I connect input by component in HD,I have output by sdi?

A: This unit does not offer cross conversion, it is merely passive - the output mirrors the input.
