The DLX Parabolic Focusing Softbox with Elinchrom Speed Ring from FotodioX is a hybrid softbox that allows the use of a Elinchrom-type mounted LED or strobe monolight on the front side of the umbrella. The light-mountable center focusing rod helps to create the exact look desired by moving the light in and out of the parabolic dome. The rod mechanism makes it possible to adjust the zoom and see in real time, bit by bit, how the light quality transforms from soft to hard, broad to focused, and everything in between. The light quality can be transformed even further with the included double diffusion panels and grid, which can be used in any combination to give you exactly the look need to get the shot as envisioned.

The reflective silver interior provides a moderate contrast and a neutral color rendition that reflect more natural-looking catchlights in the eyes of a subject. The umbrella also has a black backing to minimize light loss and light spill while maximizing output. The DLX includes a front diffuser and inner baffle for adding diffusion to create a softer look, plus a fabric eggcrate grid to provide a more directional output and to emphasize the subject.

Built with high-quality materials and fabrics, DLX Parabolic Focusing Softbox is designed for heavy-duty use with long studio hours in mind. It features a quick collapsible structure with heavy duty rod support. Setup takes only seconds; just hold the speed ring and pull the rods up to pop them in place to lock them. Tear down is a breeze too; just remove the light from the softbox and pull up slightly on the rods while pressing the quick release tabs on the speed ring and the softbox collapses with ease. The diffusion panels can even be left in place during tear down and storage, so the softbox is always ready to use.

Q: 1. its not clear whether the elinchrom bracket is included...?

A: Due to the size of the Litemotiv it needs the bracket. EL26537.a href= http://www.elinchromus.com/light_shapers/litemotiv.html#p-EL26537 target= _blank http://www.elinchromus.com/light_shapers/litemotiv.html#p-EL26537/aRegards,Will

Q: 2. I have the manfrotto 1005BAC light stand, will it be enough for this litemotiv 120cm softbox? Or do I need a better light stand?

A: Hi,The weight is not the issue. Ideally you want a stand with a bigger foot print so that it will not tip over. You could use your 1005BAC but you would have to weight them down with sandbags as they are rated for 22lbs or 10kg.Ideally look for a stand with a Junior mount. https://a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/840739-REG/Kupo_KS500112_Master_High_Cine_Stand.html target= _blank www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/840739-REG/Kupo_KS500112_Master_High_Cine_Stand.html/aI hope this helps.Regards,Will

Q: 3. Does it break down like Elinchrom Octas for easy storage in a carry bag and quick (pop up) assembly on location?

A: No quick pop up. You have to enter the rods into the special bracket (purchased separately). It takes about 10 minutes (a little more the first time) to put up and a little less to take down. It comes with a carry bag. It is advisable to buy/use it with a stand with casters. It it is light but BIG.

Q: 4. Elinchrom Litemotiv 120cm Parabolic Softbox can I hook this to my white lightning mono light by Paul c buff

A: Unfortunately, Elinchrom does not produce an adapter allowing a White Lightning Monolight to fit this modifier.

Q: 5. Which bracket should I buy for my Profoto ComPact-R 600 that will fit the Elinchrom Octa?

A: The Elinchrom Litemotiv Octa Bracket for Profoto, BH # ELLMBP would be the proper mount for the Profoto Compact R 600. https://bhpho.to/3yVmmJg

Q: 6. What is needed to use the Litemotiv 190 with a Profoto B1X or B10 plus? Does it need a different adapter? Separately, does the D2 1000 have too much power for the 190?

A: You may use the Elinchrom Litemotiv Octa Bracket for Profoto, BH # ELLMBP which can accept the Profoto B1X, B10 Plus and the D2 monolights. As far as a D2 1000 w/s monolight goes, it doesn't have too much output to work with the Litemotiv 190cm Parabolic Softbox.

Q: 7. What is the grid for this Elinchrom Litemotiv 120cm Parabolic Softbox?

A: Unfortunately, there is no available grid for the Litemotiv 120cm Parabolic Softbox.

Q: 8. I have both Litemotiv 190 and Broncolor Siros L. Is there a way to connect them directly? An obvious additional adapter causes the Bron falsh lamp to be recessed inside the adapter. As a result the light from the flash goes only straight forward and the output is not as good with an Elinchrom elc pro hd. The reason I want a Bron on it is that sometimes I must be cordless.

A: The Elinchrom Litemotiv 190cm Parabolic Softbox has no built-in speedring and it requires the separate purchase of a heavy duty bracket for use. You would need to purchase the Elinchrom Litemotiv Octa Bracket for Bron Pulso, B&H # ELLMBB, to connect the to the Broncolor Siros L Battery-Powered Monolight to the Elinchrom Litemotiv 190cm Parabolic Softbox. There is no way to directly connect a Broncolor Siros L Battery-Powered Monolight to the Elinchrom Litemotiv 190cm Parabolic Softbox without the use of the aforementioned bracket.

Q: 9. Can this softbox be used with an Aputure 300d II light if I buy the bowens ring? Most of these seem to be made for flash photography, but we would like to use it in studio for videography with this one https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1483694-REG/aputure_lsc300diivkit_light_storm_c300d_mark.html

A: With the ring https://bhpho.to/2oEaqeA you could use it as a direct softbox, but not a indirect.

Q: 10. What is the best light stand option if I want this 190cm Octabox to be useable as overhead light ? It’s both big and heavy

A: The Manfrotto 025BS Super Boom with 008BU Stand - Black B&H # MA025BS would be a solid option to place this Elinchrom modifier overhead. https://bhpho.to/2VZw1K1
